the four queens is not on the strip it is in downtown vegas on freemont street...it is upscale for that area but like most of the freemont street hotels it pales in comparision to the hotels on the strip. i have never stayed there...i have heard that downtown vegas is pretty nice if you want the old school las vegas feel and a more personalized environment...but if this is your first trip to vegas it will be a tremendous disservice to not stay on the strip. |

I think you will spend your time going to the strip - that is where the fun stuff is. |

it is in the downtown part of this vegas. Its in the middle of freemont street, but not on the strip. I haven't stayed there, but i heard they have redone some of the rooms and remodeled the pool which is really nice. When in vegas, the nicer hotels are on the strip, but they will cost you alot more. So it really depends on what you want to do while you are here.. personally i like the downtown area.. but its a little out of the way from everything on the strip.. |

It's downtown on fremont street! I would not have any trouble staying there, but I like it Downtown! It is very centallly located on fremont st...Very close to all the other Casinos! You swill definitely save $$ over the price of the hotels on the strip! Taxi to the strip and you'll still be $$ ahead in the long run! |

Imperial Palace. The hotel isn't the greatest but it's right in the middle of the strip across from Ceasers palace, and it's pretty cheap rates, one of the cheapest ones listed on lasvegas.com usually. The other ones that are cheap and are on the strip are Circus Circus, and Stratosphere, but they are at one end of the strip. |

4 Queens is old, stuffy, and it's on Freemont Street. If you want something nice, try Bally's; Harrah's; the Flamingo. All are located directly on the strip and are not expensive. I would stay away from the 4 Queens. |

i have stayed at the four queens, its okay i have stayed downtown my last 3 trips, its no better or worse then any Ive stayed in. i kind of like downtown all the casinos are right next to each other, which i really like. and the four queens had a single deck blackjack with 3/2 odds |

4 Queens is on Freemont. Whenever I go, I stay at Bally's. It is a nice hotel and centrally located on the strip. |

Queens is downtown, on Fremont. If you can, change your res. to stay on the strip- it may a bit extra, but you'll make up for it as you'll be paying taxi or shuttle fees to go to the strip all the time anyway. Plus, if you stay downtown, you will need your shots :)
I recommend staying on the strip, and going downtown ONCE in the evening to see the Fremont Laser light show. A few hours is plenty to see all their is downtown, and dont' eat down there. I hated the dt area. You can catch the monorail from most strip hotels, ride it all the way to the end by Stratosphere, then walk into downtown (about 1/2 mile). do it during the day though, then taxi back to Stratosphere and then monorail (costs way less than to taxi all the way to where you want to go)
Vegas has great city bus system too, very cheap and easy to use, but dirty.
If you stay on the strip, Excalibur is usually the most economical decent place to stay. Not fancy rooms, but good prices, and easy to get to other places. |

yuk!!!!!!Mandalay bay rocks,Cesar's Palace is cool. Imperial Palace is alright if you don't want to spend mass on a hotel..If it was my first time in Vegas no way in hell would I stay down town...The hard rock is killer for off the strip but you get a lot for your buck at the Orleans too... |
