It is an awesome city. Sure it has its drawbacks, but the scenery and the culture make it well worth it. I haven't lived there, yet (I have been there zillions of times though), but just ask students at the university how they manage. Find them on myspace or something. I am sure you will like it! |

Try living in Walnut Creek or some outlying area and taking the train into town. |

I have been living here since January 1980.
It is small and yet very diverse in terms of cultures.
The weather is different form most areas as we have micro climates due to topography, so weather forecasts are very different. The temp range will be about 30 degrees depending on the section where you are.
It is beautiful here.
