Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios? |
We are planning a family trip to Orlando in March. We have 11 and 9 year old boys, and 6 and 4 year old girls. Which would be better, Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios? We can only pick one! All suggestions would help in our decision making. Thanks. |

i have a 11 year old he liked Hollywood Studios better if your kids are into toy story, cars, monsters inc, Hollywood Studios would be your best choice if your kids are into the older disney characters then the Magic Kingdom would be a better choice if you go to Hollywood Studios they have a pizza planet great pizza & one of the least expencive places if you eat at disney |

Personally, I would go to Magic Kingdom, especially if you haven't been to either.
I found a Web site that offers some great tips on hitting ANY of the theme parks with kids:
www.themeparkmom.com.
Check it out. |

For young children, Magic Kingdom would definitely be better. Disney/MGM Studios is brilliant but has a lot of big scary rides that I really don't think young children would appreciate.
Animal Kingdom is brilliant too - young children might really like that. |

I think Magic Kingdom would be perfect for your family. All of your girls and boys are at the perfect age, so it will really be a fun treat for you all to go as a family.
The girls will love the Bibbity Boppity Boutique, Meeting the Disney Princesses, Philarmagic, Small World, Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan's Flight, Snow White's Adventure, the Tea Cups, etc.
The boys will love everything in Adventureland and Frontierland! Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, Thunder Mountain Railroad, Tom Sawyers Island, and more!
The entire family will be able to enjoy this park. You can go to the Laugh Floor for some laughs as a family. Also, there is always Space Mountain, the Character Breakfasts (which are always fun to go to as a family), WISHES fireworks, Splash Mountain, and more!
Magic Kingdom really is perfect for your family and I think the girls and boys are at a perfect age for it. Hollywood Studios is alot of fun, but Magic Kingdom definitely has more variety for your visit. If you got a park hopper, you may want to consider starting at Hollywood Studios in the AM...checking out some shows and a few rides and then heading over to Magic Kingdom to end your night with more rides and fireworks :). |

I'm obsessed with them both and they are both amazing but ...
Magic Kingdom. They have way more rides for little kids & way more characters to meet and greet with. The little girls will especially love it more. It's also overall more " Disneyish"
Unless they are all tall enough for Rock n roller coaster & Tower of Terror & aren't scared of them Lol.
hope this helped :] |

Well it all depends on your situation, Magic Kingdom, is more family centered and there are a bit more rides that can be ridden by mostly everyone. But if you like watching shows and throwing in an occasional thrilling roller coaster then Hollywood Studios is definitely your place. I myself prefer Hollywood Studios, but that's because I'm 14 and prefer the thrill rides. |

it all depends on what you like...at Magic Kingdom its more geared toward little kids and photo opps. with princess and pirates, there are some thrills including space mt, splash mt, ect. but if you love the feel of hollywood and your kids like playhouse disney characters like JoJo and bear in the big blue house, and also like BIG thrills like the rockin rollar coaster and tower of terror you should go to Hollywood studios. |

The younger ones will not be able to ride much in Universal so is a lot better for all MK. And reaing the suggestion above I also think that animal kingdom is the best. Good luck! |

Magic Kingdom because it is good for everybody it has the most variety of rides in the park and will suit every bodies wishes |

MAGIC KINGDOM, hands down.
Hollywood Studios is more theatrical acts than rides.. the rides they have is
the rockin' rollercoaster (which is an indoor rollercoaster with flips, i don't see a ton of little kids on it)
the tower of terror (which is a huge box everyone sits in and it takes you up over the park and drops you, some little kids love it, and others get really freaked out once they're on it)
there's plays for little kids, like the little mermaid, and playhouse disney experience, all live shows.. if you want to look at the rides;attractions:
http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/parks/hollywood-studios/
click on Attractions
Magic Kingdom on the other hand, is totally child-friendly.. they DO have more intense rides for older boys, like Splash Mountain or Thunder Mountain (Space Mountain is fun, but it's single rider), and they have tons of little kid rides that I think your 6 & 4 year old would love, like the Barnstormer (it's a little kids' rollercoaster)
http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/parks/magic-kingdom/
click on Attractions to see all of Magic Kingdom's rides
Like I said, I think your kids will find Magic Kingdom way more fun and on their level ;) Hope your trip's fantastic |

Magic Kingdom is probably your best choice for kids.
There is alot to do for younger and older children.
There are BOY AND GIRL activites. It's definetly a place where you would wanna take a large family.
For boys
-Mission Space
(Even though i'm a girl and that's one of my fav. rides :)
The ride with all the buzz lightyear and you can shoot his aliens! That's always a blast!
And there is just so much to do,
There is cinderellas castle for the girls and dressing like a princess in one of the shops!
DISNEYWORLD IS MY FAVORITE PLACE ON THE PLANET! :) |

Magic Kingdom,...for sure. |

I would suggest that you check here and look at all the attractions.
http://allears.net/tp/mgm/mgm.htm
http://allears.net/tp/mk/mk.htm
Or consider getting a guidebook and letting your kids help pick.
Personally, if you can only go to one, I think Magic Kingdom is not to be missed. Especially your smaller kids' eyes will light up! There are lots of things to do there that all ages will enjoy. Over at the Studios, there are a few things that your older kids will love but your smaller kids probably will be too young for. |

Oh, Magic Kingdom, without a doubt. That's the main kid-oriented park at Disney World. Hollywood Studios is OK, but you simply can't miss Magic Kingdom. It has far and away the most rides, and is the most popular park for the kids. So chose Magic Kingdom. |

MK! But I hate the Hollywood Studios, so I am biased. |

Defnitly Magic Kingdom!
They have little rides for the girls, the Biddidy Boppidy Botique for the girls, some cool spaceship rides in tomorrow land for the boys, and cool shows!
For the girls:
Mickey's ToonTown Fair
Bippidy Boppidy Boutique
Alladin's Carpets
It's a Small World
Dumbo
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Winnie the Pooh
For the boys:
Space Mountain
Astro Orbitor
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger
Stitch's Great Escape
Splash Mountain
Big Thunder Mountain
For the both:
Laugh Floor(Monsters INC.)
Pirates of the Carribean
Country Bear Jamborree
Jungle Cruise
Peter Pan's Flight
Mickey's PhillarMagic
Goofy's Barnstormer
Awesome restauraunts too! Best one is Pecos Bill! Has the BEST chicken, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and hot dogs!
Have a safe and MAGICAL trip!
EDIT: Why did i get 2 thumbs down? wow, at least i know what im talking about. |

Universal's Islands of Adventure...great stuff for the whole family.
Your 11 and 9 year boys might get a little bored by all the "kiddie" stuff at Magic Kingdom and Universal Studios doesn't have enough rides to keep everyone occupied (although they do have some great stuff!). |
