geez.. it varies ..

Bring jeans .. No shorts .. its usually warmer during the day .. a short sleeve shirt is good to a light long sleeve.. then at night it can get chilly to cold .. you'll need a long sleeves or a sweater .. and/or jacket.

You can never tell with our crazy weather .. during the winter we have to keep our winter clothes mixed with our summer clothes. 1 day its hot the next its cold.

During the day .. if i had to guess .. is usually between 55 - 70 degrees. At night .. it can be anywhere between 35 - 60

Thank god I already live here .. cuz I'd hate to pack for this weather

def. jean weather, so u can be prepared if its warm or cold. pack for both. in new orleans you never know the past two mardi gras i have worn jackets up until mardi gras day then had on a tanktop, so it varies

The last few years it has been pretty cool. It is hard to tell what the weather is gonna be like with our crazy weather down here. But I would say our cold months are normally Late Nov. thru Early March.

What I recall is people dressed fairly scimpy wearing lots of beads.

Since Mardi Gras is super early in 2008, falling on Feb. 5, it's highly likely it will be COLD! We have high humidity year round; so if it's 40 degrees out, with 60% humidity and 15-20 mph wind blowing, you had better be dressed in layers, even if you're from Minnesota! The few times that Mardi Gras (Fat Tues.) has fallen in early Feb. that I remember, it's ALWAYS been really cold. Bring warm clothes, but if you come later in Feb., it could still be warm. So, best advice--bring clothes far BOTH temperatures, but more for cold weather.

It can be warm but also a bit hit or miss. Could be 60 could be 80 but I would say that on average low 70s during day. NIce weather usually by that time of year.

Mardi gras is usually from really chili to cold. Specially at night parades. Yes bring stuff to cover yourself well

It can vary. I've been hot & sweaty some years and cold others. Most often, it's been on the cooler side.

nola_cajun is right and we can't tell you this far in advance.

Winter weather rarely drops below freezing in New Orleans and it almost never snows - the city stays green all year most years. However, that doesn't mean it will be warm in February, and 40 degrees + humidity + wind can feel very chilly.

Check Yahoo Weather (or whatever) about a week before you travel to New Orleans.

It's too early to say right now. If it's early February you might get some cold. Best to just check the weather right before you leave.

Mardi Gras weather is warm but not too hot usually but because it is New Orleans there is some humidity to deal with. You should have a light jacket or sweater for night because it gets cool. I lived there for two years so, I know.
