I'm a little worried in Connecticut because we're getting hit by the storm too.
As for precautions, I'm renting movies Friday night and staying home all weekend long. |

I think worrying about weather is about as silly a thing as there is |

"Worried" about it? No. If you live here, you've dealt with snow before. I'll just make sure I don't need to go out and deal with driving in it if I don't have to, and that I have lots of ice melt for my driveway. No big deal. |

I'm now in FL but from up there. You need to make sure you go to Stop & Shop and buy milk and bread...Even if you don't need them just in case... :) |

If you are from a part of the country that gets no snow then it might seem as though any snowstorm is cause for concern. This is understandable. However, it usually takes a snowstorm with a huge amount of snow and high winds to cause concern. Generally people will go to the store and buy stuff, mostly food and things like shovels and stuff to melt the ice. People who have cars almost always have snow tires and vehicles that can handle the snow without too much difficulty. The public transportation system usually does not shut down so people can get around by train if the roads are really snowed in. If people shovel like they should then walking is usually not that bad. Almost everybody has the clothing necessary to get through a snowstorm if they have to work outside or just move around. |

No, we're used to snow storms - most of us learned our lesson from the blizzard of '78. |
