NYC I live across from it. It is really the best place in the world. The crime it is not that bad. Especially manhattan it really is wonderful, although extremely expensive. The only reason you should not come to NYC is if you can't afford it, if you can then come to NYC. |

i rather live in New york even though Atlanta seems economically cheaper however its far from it. The jobs dont pay enough and theres no public trans like New York |

I'm from New York so I love it here. I've been to atlanta and I have family there. Not much of a difference jus that atl is cleaner in most parts and the people speak differently. To tourists and people who dont know how to carry themselves Nyc can be scary. Just follow the sayin "when in rome do as the romans do" and you'll b fine. I've noticed that nyc has more diversity and other things to offer than atl also. |

There is no place like New York City. So, I'd rather live there. Atlanta is rather non-distinct and just another example of poor urban planning & urban sprawl. By far, it is a much more dangerous city than New York (crime statistics) and much smaller. If I had to live near Atlanta--than I'd rather live in Savannah. Great history, distinctive, genteel, charming city near beaches--with a very active social life component. |

Both are nice places. I grew up in New Jersey, right across the river from New York and spent many days and nights in NYC. My choice would be ATL. Why you ask? Friendy people, a little more laid back, yet everything available to you at lower prices and a little more convenient. |

Atlanta by far. New York City is way over populated and the people there can be very rude at times. |

New York City any day!!! I've lived in Atlanta. It's too hot, too much awareness of race (people dwell on it a little too much), and it's just not as creative or endearing, or cultural as NYC. Also, people think New York is filthy. Atlanta has some of the worse air quality in the country! I'd rather live on Manhattan and have any number of great art gallery's restaurants and historic sites within walking distance. Atlanta doesn't even compare. |

Neither. I live in West Virginia, drive a big truck, been to both and have a lot that I don't like about both. There is a lot that I do like about both, though.
Let's see, first NYC.
The people are rude and obnoxious most of the time. They don't know how to drive around big trucks, like any big city though, so we wont count that one against them. TOOOOOOO many people and cars.
Now, Atlanta, or as we truckers call it: "The Watermelon 500"
People in the Atlanta area, primarily on the bypass, don't know how to drive at all. If it sprinkles just a little, you are guaranteed to see at least a dozen wrecks going around the loop. God forbid if they had to drive in REAL snow like we get up north. They'd never survive. They can't read road signs, don't know how to yield or merge, and try to talk on the phone, use their computer while putting on makeup or reading the newspaper.
I enjoy the simple, laid-back, easy going life that I have here in the HillBilly state.
But, if I really had to choose, I'd take NYC over ATL anytime. There's more to do and more to see in NYC anytime of the day. That town really don't sleep at night. |
