I think it's pathetic.
I worked with people of his campaign when he was running, and I when I read the article about these... findings, I could barely believe it. But that's another example of how politicians are great, not good, *great*, at making themselves seem what they are not.

I think that wasn't a very smart decision at all.
The hypocrisy is actually kind of funny to me, but it's sad that a whole family had to be hurt by that.
I hope he resigns....

The women here are going to hate me, but take a look at the history of Power, Politicians and Sex. Great men (JFK) and egotistical morons (Spitzer), it does not matter. Many a power broker have gone down the road of extramarital affairs, It is not going to stop.

Power is the greatest aphrodisiac and life/sex/politics goes on. Politicians are just people, no more, no less.

I'm extremely disappointed.

I have been a great supporter of Gov Spitzer and always had great respect for him. He lost it all yesterday when the news broke.

Despite being a (previous) supporter of Spitzer, I think he needs to resign.

I think he's a jerk, but I thought that back in the primary, when I voted for Suazi instead of Spitzer! (I only voted for Spitzer in the general election because I really didn't have another choice.)

Spitzer has been a lousy governer, worse than I originally thought.

BUT....I think this whole horrible incident is between him and his wife. While prostitution CAN be exploitative, high priced call girls are NOT being exploited! They clearly are doing what they want to do. And men have always gone to prostitutes - there's a reason they call it the oldest profession, you know!

I didn't think it was anyone's business but his and his wife's (most Johns get a desk appearance ticket and a fifty dollar fine, after all. I've had worse parking tickets.)

But now Spitzer has resigned and it's over. Let's hope the new governor, David Patterson, can do something to bring everyone together after these awful past few days. Patterson seems like a good guy. Let's hope he makes a good governor!

I think that he had a big time!!! the only think that annoy me is his hypocrisy fighting prostitution in the past while he was getting 5 stars hookers paying them with the people's money.
Prostitution should b legalized so big shots like him don't loose his job just 'cause they wanted a bj that their wives don't wanna perform.

Its not the first time a man in power did something like this so I can't say I am shocked. I feel bad for his wife and especially his daughters. Its just shameful.

Firstly, Cellphones are very dangerous, Secondly, To be a prostitute is a good job , why this young girls would not be able to take much money, men are OK, the Gouvernor too.
