I love New Orleans! I wrote a book called "Boudreaux and His Buddies" that was just published. Boudreaux is a whimsical, cartoon alligator from Honey Island Swamp in South Louisiana. He goes on different fun-filled adventures with his buddies. His biggest adventure is a more serious one. It is about Boudreaux's experience of going through Hurricane Katrina. With the one year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina approaching in August, this book is sure to touch your heart. It teaches lessons about life, friendship and family through Boudreaux's wide-eyed innocence. it's full of cajun names, cajun places and cajun customs. Written for readers ages 9 or 10 years of age through adult, "Boudreaux and His Buddies" is a 100-page paperback. It is available for purchase now through amazon.com, barnes&noble.com and has distributors in Europe. It will be available through bookstores after August 7th. It is my wish that "Boudreaux and His Buddies" will bring a smile to the faces of the people of New Orleans and South Louisiana.

New Orleans all the way, everyone thinks everything is still horrible and messed up after the hurricane but its not most of new orleans is back up and running. But down south in louisiana and new orleans we have the nicest ppl, greatest food, and best essence!

I love New Orleans, but you might get sick there from the mold, unclean conditions and mosquitoes. Hold off your visit for a few years. Try San Antonio instead, which is the most beautiful place in Texas!

It really depends on what you like. If you prefer 300+ years of culture and diversity and a unique feel you cannot get anywhere else in the USA (maybe Key West or San Fransisco) then you would choose New Orleans.

If you prefer bland materialism that makes up for its shortcomings in absurd excess and the type of bourgeois comfort that lulls you into a lifelong coma, then you would choose Texas.
