Canyonlands tour is fabulous.

Fly to Denver, travel through Estes national Park, through Wyoming (see Devil`s Tower) & S Dakota (see the presidents` heads),Zion Nation al Park, the wonderful Bryce Canyon and the stupendous Grand Canyon. Some tours also include Monument Valley. Wind up in Salt Lake City.
Try Cosmos

Try a fly-drive to the wilderness. Montana, Wyoming, Idaho,North and South Dakota.

In America I found Maryland, Virginia and New York good places., and its so expensive to live over here.. In Canada, Toronto and Montreal!!

erm..i have only been to three places in the USA : New York, Chicago and Boston. I thought that boston was the nicest of all three; having a very european feel to it. New york was a bit too much personally.

Washington, Oregon, Utah, Arizona, and Colorado are some states I've visited and they've been fantastic. But I think Alaska has to be the best.

In Canada I lean towards the Rocky Mountains in Alberta and BC. The Yukon territory would make a truly unique holiday (and you could visit Alaska at the same time). You could start down south and drive the Alaska Highway for a unique experience. Atlantic Canada would also be a great place to visit.

If its non cheesy you're after then canada is the safer bet.

You might be better off with Canada if you want non cheesy - the USA does cheesy very well, Las Vegas etc. but then again they do everything very well, or at least enthusiastically. New York is pretty amazing in that 'full' sort of a way but I'm not sure it's typical of the rest of the States. San Fran is quite European, can do cheesy but also does laid back pretty well if you go to the right places. Florida, LA, obviously have big cheese factors, but if you drive North from San Fran, away from the glitz of places nearer to LA, the coast is wonderful and there are some lovely little windswept coastal towns full of quiet artists and lovely fish restaurants, the Redwood forest North of San Fran is great, and Oregon has a great coast, then up towards Vancouver, is a great stretch, then maybe you could go into Canada. If you do go to Oregon, and around there, up that West coast, go inland a little to Crater Lake, I can't remember where exactly it is, but it's very beautiful. American does have some beautiful scenery, Arizona, Grand Canyon etc. - if you stay away from the big tourist centres you may get away without the cheese, but in a way you kind of have to do some of it to feel you've really been to the States. I've also been to Miami and I didn't like it at all, wealth and poverty in the extreme, and over the top yachts, and big stretches of concrete alongside a boring beach - not my cup of tea at all, horses for courses I guess, sure there is more to it than meets the eye, sorry Miami residents. Canada is next on my list....

I think it depends on what you like to do BUT New England is always my vote. It is filled with amazing places, beautiful, filled with history, lots of stuff to do inside and out. You should check out your local bookstore and look at some of the travel guides. I know there are a lot of resources out there. Check out the link I am attaching, ou can find a lot online too.

Well then, don't go to Wisconsin!! (Home of the Cheese) But it really is a beautiful state though. I would say go anywhere but Texas.

In a nod to our neighbors to the North they too have some nice places.
I’d suggest Yellowstone National Park, and Glacier National Park in the USA. Then cross over into Canada and head up to Banff National Park and Calgary.

When you come will determine which area may be the best.
For me winter in Yellowstone is gorgeous. The cold air causes rapid condensation of the geyser discharges that allows one to see much more than in the summer when some evaporates rapidly. But that time of year sometimes travel can be delayed with storms as passes and some roads may be closed. Summer would be best. Spring when the bison are birthing and the bears are coming out of hibernation can be great as well.
In the winter the Grand Canyon and the South are nice. Key West is nice then.
In the fall, following the change of colors in the leaves from Canada on down the East coast. The Rockies have great skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer.
The coastlines of both countries have areas that are quite picturesque. Even in winter sitting with a hot drink watching the storms pound the shore is pleasant. There are areas like California where you can watch surfers, or Columbia River in Washington to watch the sailboarders.

Visit the homes of Hemmingway or Steinbeck.
Or perhaps you’d be interested in touring chocolate and cookie factories. -lol

New York is my favoiurite place. Cheesy in America means that sickening orange runny stuff they pour on their sickeningly greasy fast food. Arby's are to be avoided!

Flat_out_Bob
Your really putting America down! So why don't you just stay home. Because your saying America is cheesy.
