I always use, LGA. |

It depends on where in the city you're going. For the Upper East side, the best is LGA. For midtown, it is usually the same to go to LGA or JFK. For downtown and the West Side (not Upper West), you're usually better off going to Newark. Without traffic, it usually takes 15-20 minutes from the Holland tunnel entrance to Newark.
As for the Upper West Side, its a craps shoot. Sometimes LGA, sometimes EWR. |

I always found JFK to be the easiest and most convenient. Newark is usually a few dollars cheaper though. |

I'll tell you which one NOT to use- Newark, it's in Jersey and not worth the trouble.
Either JFK or LGA will give you nice and easy cab rides to NYC for around $40 |

If you're going to the NorthShore, take the Grand Central from LGA. The South Shore, take the Southern State fron JFK. By train, take the Air train from JFK to Jamaica Station on the LIRR. |

Besides the major airports in NY, there is another airport on Long Island called MacArthur Airport. If that is not an option Laguardia is the closest to Long Island. |

Which island? Manhattan? Long Island? Staten Island?
LGA is best for Manhattan. |

The Islip airport is on Long Island if that's the island you're trying to get to, although probably not the cheapest.

from my experiences newark is usually the cheapest. price wise. travelling wise, i would rate JFK first, newark second, then laguardia. i would say that newark is usually the quickest, however JFK is really a straight shot and a monkey could drive to manhattan from JFK, so if you dont want to get lost and end up in hoboken, i'd go with JFK. it really depends a lot on the time you are coming in too, because i've had times driving from JFK to manhattan where I actually got out of my car and stretched my legs because I was waiting in traffic so long. |

Kennedy. The air trains drops you at the LIRR on Sutphin Blvd. 5 bucks for the air train and what ever on the LIRR.
LGA is closer to the Bronx then Long Island. And Newark is in Jersey. |

JFK - but you may want to check out Islip ( ISP )
as I know Southwest now services that airport and some of the fares have gone down |
