have an absolutely great time .... take loads of money and dont sleep whilst your their, you will never fit it all in.

Go to Greenwich Village and buy a cupcake from Magnolia Bakery- best in the world. Was also on Sex & The City. Have fun.

Yes just make sure you bring extra sweaters on you because you will be complaining about how cold it is.

Do everything! all the touristy stuff is great fun, shopping, eating, its all fabulous!!!
Also explore the lower east and west sides, theres so many little gems hidden away in them areas, thats where we spend most of our time when we go, dont be afraid to go off the beaten track, it adds to the fun.
Also go to woodbury common for chaep outlet shops. :0)

dont take pictures of every little thing like a lot of tourists(you dont need a picture of something like a street sign) enjoy the moment for yourself not through a little lense. also cheak out the east village.. its cool down there.

Here are some top tips
1.Take the Staten island ferry ,It's free, yes free and it goes right past the Statue of Liberty .
2. Go to Century 21 it's a department store near Ground zero,Designer gear and fantastic prices ,there are some times street hawkers outside selling copies for the same price as you can get the real thing inside .
3.Go to the Natural History Museum ,They give you a sugested entry price and then you pay what you want to pay ($1 each is OK)
4.Use the subway $2 per jorney each if you miss your stop you can get on another train and go back with out paying any extra,the map seeems complicated at first but it's not that bad.
5.Don't buy your suveneers from the actual places get them from the shops in Little China or from the Hells Kitchen area where they are more reasonably priced.
6 If you are going to see a Broadway show ,go to the ticket boothe under the Marriot on Times square when it opens (sorry slighly vaigue) for 50% discount tickets ( these are proper tickets for decent seats ) I got front row for half the price of those at the back.
7.Go to Joe's dinner in Brooklyn for a good meal and fantastic cheesecake.
8. Grayline buses run a great sevice you can choose from 48 hours all loops witch means you can hop on and off any where on there circuit for 48 hours ijncluding the nighttime tour or you can go for the three day all inclusive tour which we thought would have been a bit to much .There operatives gave us some realy good local hint and tips

If you want to shop,go to Woodbury Common,all designer outlets and dirt cheap prices, just came back and couldnt believe the prices at Woodbury but be prepared take a suitcase to Woodbury with you as you wont be able to carry everything you buy.

NYC is Great! I suggest you to go to the Rockefeller Center. It is really cool and fun to be in there, you would enjoy the shops, ice skating rink, museums, and the city itself. I also would suggest you to visit Time Square, and Broadway Theater. There are awesome areas and places in New York City. You will love it! Enjoy!

just got back on Tuesday,very cold and lots of snow,NYC is one of The safest cities in the world,so ye be on your guard but only the same as in any city.The people are really cool and very help full,just enjoy it and if you shop round its also very cheap,must go to Gray's papaya for hot dogs best in new york and only $3.50 for 2 and a drink,also smiths bar on 8th ave 45 street really good authentic American pub/bar,just go and people watch,cant beat it.

Take a helicopter ride - fab - but book ahead to avoid long waiting times.
Also go to the Top of the Rock (Rockefeller Centre) - the best view in New York. Better than the Empire State - not so crowded, plus you can SEE the Empire State! Fab at night.
The Olive Garden in Times Sq is a great Italian restaurant - reasonable and central.

The Tavern on the Green ....it is right in Central Park (entrance at 67th st) even though it is winter and the trees are not yet covered with leaves, the winterscape is nice too.

get a 7 day subway pass 24$ and go anywhere. grab a show, get a good breakfast, get a carriage ride in central park 34$. Don't sleep in get out there, enjoy times square and get on the live web cam and ring your mates then shop.
