Neither of them. They are both over polluted, overpopulated, too much traffic, illegal immigrants, and full of overpriced homes, gangs, and crime! If I did have to pick one place in Cali it would be Ventura but thats even pushing it. |

Having lived in both, I'd say the OC. Less crowded, a little more upscale, better parking. |

It certainly depends on what you want to get out of your trip--
If you would like to relax by the beach, shop, take in beautiful scenery and relax, I'd go with OC. If you want to visit museums, shop in a more metropolitan area, and get a more urban experience, LA!
Bon voyage : ) |

LA and the OC is almost the same.
However, I prefer to live in the OC than LA.
LA is good if you are a billionare.
LA is way funner.
It depends. |

If you are not from around the area both of them can seem crowded and the freeway system intimidating. It depends on what you are looking for. LA has a lot more culture, outstanding museums, better theater, and better restaurants...more history. The OC has better beaches, a younger, trendier, snobbier crowd. The women are fine whichever one you pick. Think about the time of day it is, before you get on a freeway...especially going into LA. |

They both kind of suck.
La has all the smog, people, crime, crazies,
Orange county has all the imported snobs that think everyone lives like the kids at Newport Beach.
Orange county use to be a very nice place in the 60's, 70' and 80's and then all the yuppies and plastic surgery groupies moved there.
If you want the real southern California go to San Diego county |

They're both great places and I've lived in both areas. I like them for different reasons though. OC is a bit more relaxed and slow-paced. They have more nice beaches and a lot of nice restaurants.
Both areas have incredibly hot women. I mean, they're practically falling out of the sky. I prefer LA a bit more because there are so many cool neighborhoods and so many things to do. I love seeing celebs and having a whole variety of options on my plate. The nightlife is significantly better in LA, although it's a bit more pricey.
You can't go wrong with either, though. |

I was born, raised, and live in Orange County. I think Orange County is just an extension of L.A. County...just with less people. I guess it depends on your age and what your interests are. I think that Orange County is much better for raising families, living a mellow lifestyle, and retiring. I think there are a lot more things to do for younger people in LA County. I'm almost 25 and I think LA would be great for me...there's more for me to do up there (ie. nightlife). |

I like LOS ANGELES way better.
But if you mean to live, then unless you like hearing cars honk every second and crazy people walking around your house all the time, then i'd go with the OC. |
