People who have travelled in the U.S. - Kentucky is the most beautiful place I've seen.?

If you've been there do you agree? Or what is your favorite place in the country and why?

Yes, I've been to Kentucky, and yes, I think it's beautiful. Two of my favorite things while in Kentucky were driving through and seeing all the horse farms and visiting Mammoth Caves National Park.

There are so many beautiful places though it's hard to say that one is more beautiful than the other because they are all so unique. I love my home state of Pennsylvania because of the mix of rural and urban, the history, the fact that it's a great place to raise a family,... I also love my adopted "2nd home" of West Virginia (where I went to college) because of its ruggedness, the mountains, the natural beauty, all the outdoor things to do,... The Florida Keys are beautiful...the Rocky Mountains (Wyoming, Montana, Utah) are beautiful...Virginia is beautiful...Seattle is beautiful...Hawaii is beautiful...Raising Old Glory at Fort McHenry in Baltimore Harbor is beautiful...the Gettysburg battlefields at dawn with the mist hanging over the hallowed fields is beautiful...... There are so many places I love!!

We're getting ready to go on vacation to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, which I've never been to, and I'm guessing that I will be adding that to my list of beautiful places soon! I can't wait!

I've been to several different states. Some with palm trees and beautiful oceanic views. To me the most beautiful place is my home state of the Appalachian Mountains. Where the earth touches the blue sky and in the spring/summer time you can see at least seven different shades of green mixed with pink/yellow/and purple flowers. In the autumn the trees come alive with fiery shades of reds and yellows. In the winter the white of the snow glistens in rainbow colors when the sun shines down upon the freshly lain frozen ice flakes.

Do I know you? ya right LoL
the coast...I love the pacific northwest...breathtaking

There are so many different beautiful places in the U.S., but they're too different to compare. Alaska is one kind of stunning, the Mojave desert is another. The forests and mountains in Pacific Northwest are just as beautiful as the rugged Northeast coast. And the Gulf coast is some people's idea of heaven, but so are the Rocky Mountains. And Hawaii...! I think it's too hard to choose.

sjeboyce
its ok in some areas but personally I think that Montana is the most beautiful

Comparing all the beautiful places in the U.S. is like comparing apples to oranges...
but I've driven through the Blue Ridge Parkway at dawn and watched the mist slowly burn off the mountains and thought, this is paradise!

America F*** Yeah!

Disagree.

Have you ever been to the mountains or even the Piedmont of North Carolina? Mountains and middle region hills (Cumberland River Valley) of Tennessee? Mountains of north Georgia? Shenendoan Mountains of Virginia? Ouachita mountain areas of northwest Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma? Rocky Mountain and Great Basin regions in Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, Montana, and Idaho? The rainforests of western Washington and a little bit in Oregon? The California coastline?

I'm live in Kentucky and it's okay scenery-wise. But, I've traveled all over, and ALL of these places blow the socks off Kentucky in terms of scenery.

The Northwest always impresses me but recently, Little Rock proved to be pretty too.

The most beautiful place? Is there just one place? Let's see ---

Utah - for magnificants around every corner, mountains reaching to the sky, narrow canyons hiding quiet oasis of life, jagged canyons of pink and yellow, Towering white cliffs where angels tread, blazing deserts with life peaking out of unexpected places.

Michigan - Blue water churned to a frenzy by gale force winds, huge bulk freighters passing your bench every 10 minutes, towering bridges reaching across vast straights of water, cultural festivals every weekend in the summer, white sand stretching for miles along placid shores, deep pine forest and chattering waterfalls.

Washington - White topped mountains beckoning you on, pods of whales moving silently, moss covered trees towering over your head, crashing surf on a deserted shoreline, a lighthouse beacon shining out to sea, a ferry ride among ocean vessels tied up in port, mountain meadows, cascades of water muffled by the evergreen forest.

And that doesn't include: Minnesota's wild shoreline, Indiana's many covered bridges, Pennsylvania's laurel coverd mountains, New Yorks thundering Niagara Falls, Maines rugged shoreline, North Carolina's barrier islands, Virginia's Blue Ridge, West Virginia's deep river gorges, New Mexico's ancient pueblo villages, Montana's Rocky Mountains, South Dakota's emerald black hills, Wyomings geysers, Arizona's vast deserts and grand canyons, and on and on.

I can't think of one that's the most beautiful, because each one as it's own beauty. I grew up around the blue waters of the great lakes and still find the greatest beauty in those cold clear waters from Lake Superior in the north(west) to Lake Ontario in the (soutn)east.

Kentucky has it's beauty that is for sure... I love the people as well. My favorite place is Paducah, KY. One of the best places on earth.

My favorite place though is Pagosa Springs, Colorado. This is by far the most beautiful place I have ever been. The people are great and it is in the Rocky Mountains. You have Hot Springs as well and all year round recreation. Skiing in the winter (Wolf Creek). Camping in the summer and great views anytime of the year. Autumn is especially nice as Wolf Creek is one of those really high mountains... (I think it is close to 13,000 feet). Pine trees are a great thing there too. The air is clear and brisk... Temp not to extreme in the summer but does get cold in the winter.... but it is great.

I agree with jessferg, California. I also grew up in Southern California. There's no place like it. I would go back in a heartbeat if I had enough money.

Me
I have been to ALOT of states and countries and CALIFORNIA is BY FAR the best. I am from there, and it is awesome. Southern California in particular. There is ALOT to see and do. The food is delicious, the weather is unbeatable, and NOTHING COMES CLOSE TO CALI!!!

I think only you can tell me what is the most beautiful place you've seen <lol>. I do agree that, at least the eastern and southern parts of Kentuckey are quite nice although West Virginia is just as nice. I don't particularly like the way the west looks most of the time - too brown - and the plains are kind of boring to look at. Central PA is quite scenic as is the Shenandoa Valley and west in VA. I also think southern Missouri is quite scenic. I detest the east, west, and northern coasts though and have never been to New England (I think that's part of the USA <snide grin>) or Alaska. No number one favorite, though.

?
i dk just want some points
