I was born and raised in PIttsburgh....lived their unitl I was 20. Then I lived in Orlando for 10 years. I moved to Denver 5 months ago. In my opinion, Denver is FAR cleaner than Pitts. The weather is much, much better. With low humidity, it does not feel nearly as cold as it did on the East Coast. 30 degrees feels warmer in Denver than Pittsburgh. Denver is also very healthty. People are always outside biking and on the walking trails that are everywhere. Pittsburgh not so much! They use magnessium chloride and sand on the roads here. The roads dont look all nasty with cinders + I did not slide once all winter!!!! If it snows, the sun i out RIGHT AFTER and the roads are dry a few hours later! As far as shopping, there is everything from Burberry, Potterybarn to Walmart and Target. I was amazed that there was more of a selection. I must say I do miss the beach, but love the seasons. In Denver you are close to so many things to do on weekend trips. Go to the mountains, visit Vegas or any number of states! Lastly, it is always sunny in Denver...great for your mood! Pittsburgh can go a week or two without the cloud cover every breaking! If you do pick Denver, just get yourself a good cool mist humidifer for night and be sure to drink plenty of water. You adjust to the low humidity quickly...My hair has never looked better and my clothes dont stick. Even if it is 95 in the summer (which by the way, does not feel as bad). The only down side to Denver? Read the high altitude directions for baking. My first batch of brownies were as flat as pancakes! But hey, DENVER IS AWESOME! |

hm... they are both pretty sweet cities. Denver definitely gets much more snow. I'd go for Pittsburgh though, we have the pens and steelers, what more could you want? |

depends where you are coming from.
Denver has the mountains if you are into that. It is still a cow town with no culture and no history.
Pittsburgh is very nice also. |

depends on your interests--if you enjoy outdoor activities then denver
pittsburgh has more of a big city feel (and looks bigger even though its not) and has more big city attractions (andy warhol museam, mattress factory musueam,etc)..i personally thought the city of piitsburg is nicer looking than denver but denver has mountains surrounding it making it nice too..
pittsburgh "feels" busier--more people walking the streets, denver actually feels pretty dead..pittsburg has better restaurants, denvers food sucks
for some reason people jumped the gun by picking denver rigth away, i love denver but overall city life the burgh beats it |
