Mmmmmmm PIZZA. My favorite food since I started eating.
I've had NY Thin and that was nasty and expensive. The Chicago deep dish is alright but also, very expensive.
I live in Hazel Park, and my family and I love the Pizza Connection, Louie's is also very good from what I've heard.
In Detroit the 2 best pizzerias are Shields and Buddy's both the original locations.
Papa Romanos used to be a very good pizza but they changed their recipe some time after the 70's.
From the ones on your list I would choose Hungry Howies. |

None of them are great pizza. If you want cheap and quick - Little Caesar's. If you want real pizza of good quality - Buddy's (West Bloomfield, Livonia, Dearborn, & more) or Como's in Ferndale. I don't like Shield's - the sauce is too sweet. |

Jets, if I have a real choice - or Perry's Pizza in Clawson.
Off your list, I'd say Pizza Hut has the best food. The Personal Pan pizzas are an excellent invention. Hungry Howies is respectable, as well. |

There are only two types of pizza that amount to anything:
NY thin crust pizza - easy to handle, easy to eat, readily available.
Chicago deep dish pizza - Need a knife & fork, it's a full lunch, also readily available.
Both styles are best with fresh ingredients and of course, 'home prepared' is the max. Most of the 'take-out' places mentioned in your question are NOT on the list of delicious pizza joints. They're fast food factories, with dough that is too chewy, canned sauce, and kraft plastic that the call cheese. The good stuff is prepared by the independent pizza joints which are all over the place. They product their own dough, their own sauce, and use quality cheese. That goes for NY & Chicago. Other metro areas come in a close second to NY & Chicago. |

That is not pizza. Real pizza is sold in New York by an independent shop keeper using all fresh ingredients. That other junks is fast food and well processed chewy dough |
