Rain season in Seattle? |
Were planning a wedding in late april early may 08. We want our ceremony to be held out door, preferlly kerry's park. Does anyone know if it still rain during that time frame? |

I had an outdoor wedding on June 30 and we had a rainy day plan too. We held it at the Sylvan theater at the UW.
Just like Rudie's, it rained the day before and the day after.
We had a black umbrella and a white umbrella for each of us to hold, and had tons of other umbrellas for everyone else.
Have fun, but be prepared. Get runners, and a tent, or umbrellas, or jackets, something fun. Outdoor weddings tend to be more fun and less formal, so integrate it into the planning and have fun with it. |

Sorry. Does it rain in Seattle in late April or early May? Um, yeah. All the time. April Showers Bring May Flowers, and all that.
I got married in August in Seattle (outdoors) and we still had to have a rainy-day plan "just in case". We got lucky, but it rained the day before our wedding AND the day after!
So, plan your outdoor wedding, but have a rain plan too (rented tent? everyone bring umbrellas?). Don't count on nice weather any time of year in this city!! |

Contrary to popular belief, it is not always raining in Seattle, but it is more often than not cloudy and gray. The rainy, gray season is from January to December, but springtime is usually pretty nice, especially around Mother's Day when all the cherry blossoms start to fall from the trees. |

IN Seattle, you just never know when it's gonna rain... well actually thats not true last summer we had like 3 dry months... So I'd say just find a place that if it does rain you can go inside.. just in case... I sure hope it doesn't for you though... |
