New York in the summer...you'll NEVER run out of things to do or places to go! Also, if you want the beach, you can go there too, or just hit the Jersey shore! |

Thats easy---
NEW YORK
NOT EVEN CLOSE--
Having been to both MANY times-- New York is infinitely more entertaining-- Miami is nice but its TOO HOT in the summer and too cold to really hang at the beach in the winter--- not to mention the beach is something you can do LOTS of places-- The city is interesting but nothing jumps out at me as something great to do. New York is the greatest city on earth and you could spend months doing different things and never get bored--- just dont go in the winter when its too cold to walk around cause you will do A LOT of walking in the city.
Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Twin Towers site, Central Park, MANY museums, Baseball is close by, unreal restaurants owned by famous FOOD network chefs, historic buildings and bars, the Village, Soho, Tribeca, amazing shopping.....and i havent scratched the surface of things to do....
Its no contest--- |

Miami for sure. I live in Miami and I have gone to New York before. New York City is overcrowded and full of rude people. Besides the weather is Miami is the closest thing to perfect you're going to find in the US, if there are no hurricanes that is. Also, Miami has a lot to offer - you can go to some of the best beaches and nightclubs. Another good reason, to go to Miami is that you can stay in great hotels for a low price. I recommend that you come to Miami at the end of July because the weather is great and usually not too many storms come by here during this month. I recommend the end of July because in early July - thousands of tourists congest Miami's streets and its a hassle to get anywhere. |

NYC is a far better tourist town in the fall. Not hot or humid. Fall leaves turn Central Park into a beautiful spot. It's not crowded either in October.
You get to see more stuff in NYC and the subways is a perfect way to get around Manhattan. You can spend an entire week visiting Manhattan's tourist spots. |

I haven't been to Miami, but I go to NYC around Thanksgiving or Christmas time each year and it's wonderful!
If you're going this summer, head for the beach...otherwise, don't miss out on the big city!
Be sure you drive there! It's half the fun! |

New York in the Spring or Fall; Miami in the dead of winter. I would prefer New York if I could do only one; there is much more to see and do. |
