My vote is for Disney. I have been to both places many times and my experience has always been much better at Disney than Universal. If you are looking for nothing but thrill rides, then Universal is probably a better bet. It is geared more towards the thrill seekers and teens, where Disney is geared towards the whole family. They have better shows, better food, and a better overall experience for the money at Disney. And contrary to what most people have answered Disney is NOT just for the kids, or the little kids. I have been going since I was little, and still go now as an adult. I LOVE visiting Disney, and every time that I leave I am ready to plan my next visit. My family and I have so much fun there we joined the Vacation Club. If all I wanted was thrill rides and killer roller coasters I would go to Six Flags near my house or Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH. MUCH better coasters at both parks, much smaller price. For what they charge to get into Universal I expect so much more.
There is also so much more to do at Disney, and to be quite honest I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of Universal and Islands of Adventure on my last visit, as well as the friendliness and courtesy of the staff. Disney cast members are always on top of their game, but the last visit to Universal I had I ran into a bunch of crabby workers. I will still visit Universal, but not in the near future. I would rather spend my hard earned money at Disney, where I have never had a bad experience.
If you want more opinions and a different take on the question I suggest the disboards. The disboards is a free message board type site that is all about going to Disney. There is also a section on the other big Orlando attractions, such as Universal, Islands of Adventure, and Sea World. You can get more info and advice than you can possibly imagine. I put the link below.
Hope this helps! |

If you have to choose, my vote is for Disney.
They have more parks, so if you get the Park Hopper pass, you definitely can do more for your money!
Plus, it's the happiest place on earth! |

universal is nice but if you can only do one do disney its much bigger has 4 parks. alot more rides and shows. its fun for all ages. and in general its a lot more fun!
i'm not bias because i've been to both many times and have seen the differences and disney is the way to go. |

Nothing compares to Disney World, The Magic Kingdom is not called that for nothing, Then when you have seen ALL of the Magic Kingdom go see Universal Studios AND Epcot. ALL super wonderful happy places. wear comfortable shoe, you'll be walikg your feet off, all day, then stay for the fireworks... Wonderful! don't miss them. |

They are both fun. If you are looking for more thrill I would do Univeral, but Disney is great too. I would try and do both, but that can get pricy |

Depends on how long the visit and what you can afford. If it's a short stay, go with Universal. If you have a week to kill, Disneyland is great because it's like visiting 3 theme parks instead of one and if you stay onsite, there are other attractions as well.
Have a GREAT time, no matter what you choose. |

Well, if u like thrill rides, universal is deffinitly the place when i went there in 2004, but when i was 6 i went to disney world in 1999 and i still loved it because of all the characters and shows. |

If you are a Thrill Ride kinda guy, then definitly go with universal Studios. Disney doesn't have any thrill rides other than Expidition Everest.
If you are a laid back kinda guy who just likes to live the moment, then your choice should be disney. Disney is great for the experience and it doesn't have many thrill rides. |

You should try to get the park hopper pass so you have a choice. My family did that so that everyone in the familiy including my grandmother and 4 year old cousin could have a good time. |

depends on with whom you are travelling with. Even though i'm supposed to be a grown up, i always pick Disney. For me, if i wanted just a bunch of rollercoasters i would go to Six Flags... The atmosphere at Disney just makes most really happy.
But, this all depends also on what time of year your going, if its over the summer, your gonna get stuck in super long lines at either place. (i suggest staying at an orlando resort (u get a cut the line pass in Universal...and i suggest staying at a disney hotel if you are going to go to Disney...because of the tons of perks-early and late admission, free transportation, etc.) Have fun! |

before you choose you must decide this..
do you have youg kids?
do you like roller coasters?
do you like movies?
okay if you have young kids definatly go to disney they will remember te trip forever! the entire experiecnce there is amazing =]]
if you like roller coasters and movies go to islands of adventure and universal studios!! but if you have kids make sure they are tall enough for the roller coasters before going to islands of adventure because it really is a bummer when you can't ride anything on your dream vacation.
have fun and good luck =]] |

definitely universal studios. it's way more entertaining. it has the movie themed ride park, and a roller coaster type park. it also has night life just like disney does. |

I like Universal much better than Disneyworld. It's more movie-oriented, more adult-oriented. And the rides are more interesting. Disneyworld is really for kids, in my opinion. I can spend a half a day at Disney, but more than a day at Universal. |
