The Venetian or Mandalay Bay?

Basically for the days that I want to go, these are my top choices and cost exactly the same. Both hotels are beautiful. But this is my comparitive list....
MANDALAY BAY
awesome huge pool
nice room
nightclub i haven't heard of
500 sqf room
south of strip
VENETIAN
nice pool
awesome room
The celeb hang out club Toa
650 sqf room
smack dab in the middle of strip

we are driving there so I guess we could drive whereever we need to go. Both are such nice hotels, just need a little nudge in one direction. any help is appriciated!

I'd choose the Venetian for the POSITIVE things you mentioned. In addition, they get my vote on account of service level.

Dont get me wrong, Mandy Bay is an excellent choice, but Venetian stands out even more. Then there's the decor. The Casino, etc.... I have a better 'feel' for the dealers at the Venetian. Especially for someone like myself (who may only bet $10 @ a time)... MB dealers (it seems like) will grumble under their breath 'good luck sir' when you buy in. But, dont even make eye contact with you. At the V - you just feel like you fit in, whoever you are. And, that's a rare thing @ the megaresorts these days.

I'm not a clubbing person - so cant offer you tips add'l info.

Before i moved to las vegas, i would visit each casino. So, i have a lot of good experiences from each.

Mandy Bay is south strip of course. Venetian is somewhat close to mid-strip. You'd be within walking distance of T.I., Harrah's, Casino Royale (hey, it's worth a stop even for people watching, lol), etc.

Restaurants - venetian wins (period). Absolutely awesome. And, many of them are open for lunch (when the dress code is relaxed).

I dont know what you're budget is for shows, gambling, nice food.... but if you can splurge some dough -- try Delmonico's at the V.

If consideration was targeted for best pool - Mandy Bay may get the nod, but ... i think the Venetian cant be beat.

Often a room at the V is $60 or $70 MORE than MB. There's construction going on at the V -- but dont worry, you wont really notice any of it while inside. I go by there to the jobsite daily (part of my career), and the dust / noise issue wont be an 'issue'.

Good luck

Mandalay Bay is pretty sweet, but I would also pick The Venetian. I like the location better and it is one of the coolest hotels/ casinos I think

Another vote for the Venetian.

I like the answer "Every time I go to the Venetian it smells" >Then why the heck would you CONTINUE to go there LOL >(Every time?!)

Everyone who is saying the Venitian is crazy! Mandalay bay is the Best hotel ever. it smells so good in there (not like smoke) the pool is a beach! That should be enough to persuade you right there! I know everyone is sayong the Venitan, but trust me, mandalay bay is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo the way to go!!!!!!! Anyway, which one do you want? :-)

both are great choice but in my opinion the venetian and the wynn are the 2 best hotels on the strip so i would stay with either of those two

I have stayed at the Venetian a couple of times and just loved it. The service is superior, the rooms are huge and the location is great if you're interested in clubbing. From the Venetian you are a reasonable walking distance from Treasure Island and the Mirage and a little further to Caesar's and the Bellagio.

Mandalay Bay is lovely, but for the money I'd pick the Venetian every single time.

I would go "The Venetian"
because u don't need that big of a pool
and I prefer to have an awesome room to sleep in
and u would get to maybe see some stars at the club
and its in a convenient area

CBT Princess
I'd go with the Venetian - it has the biggest & best rooms in town, a much better location, and also better shopping!
