There are 724,000 people in Jerusalem. 65% of the population is Jewish, that makes 470,600 Jews.
NYC has approx 8 million people. 13% of the population is Jewish, that makes about 1,040,000 Jews.
So in percentage the answer is no, in raw numbers the answer is yes. |

At one point there was only one city in the world with more Greeks than the small community of Astoria (Queens,NYC) and that was Athens.
As you will note on the above posts, having more of an ethnic or religious group in NYC than the cities of origin is not uncommon in this town. |

Are you talking about New York City or New York state? As the entire population of Jerusalem is less than 800,000 (and obviously, not all residents are jewish!), then there are a lot of cities/places around the world that would have a higher population of jewish peoples than Jerusalem. |

Interesting question but, yes, it is true. Jews are more in NYC than they are in Jerusalem. Well, they are all over US but the population is more in NYC. |
