tell them to mind their own business. I don't like the rides either but there is more to Disney than rollercoasters- MUCH MORE. They need to get lives and stop finding stupid things to pick on you about. Sorry they are doing that. |

Theres thousands of other things to do at Disney world besides ride scary rides. Don't let them bother you, it just makes it harder to get people to ride when you tease them. keep an open mind and tell them youll think about going on some rides but you also want to see some shows and stuff. Do some research of things you want to see. And if you decide to give the rides a try, go on Big Thunder Mountain. It was the first big ride i ever rode and i was scared to death but I loved it. |

Tell your family to leave you ALONE about the rides ... and you do not have to take the ride if you don't want to. There are LOTS of fun things to do at both Disneyland and Disney World for people who don't like 'wild rides' ... take the boat trips through the 'jungle' and certainly see the 'Small World' and take that ride ... and please, be a good girl and go see Eeyore (if he's there) and give him a big hug and kiss from me. My husband and I stood in line for over an hour, but I got some wonderful pictures of me and Eeyore ... and I was 49 at the time, and I HATE the 'fast and crazy' rides and always have. YOU ARE FINE ... your family, though, needs to be told they are ABUSING you by their 'teasing.' Tell them to BACK OFF AND LEAVE YOU ALONE! |

First I must say: WFG- you must live a sad life if you make fun of people who want to go to Disney.
And second. I think you should worry more about even getting on the rides during December at Disney. That is definitely the busiest time of year for Disney. |

I myself, am absolutely terrified of heights so, roller coasters of any kind are out of the question. Anywyas, when I was 13, I went to six flags with a friend and her and her dad pressured me into going on this crazy roller coaster. I did. and when we got to the top of the first hill, I passed out. afterwards I was so scared and upset that they never asked me again.
moral of the story, some things are real fears, and you just need to tell your family that. |

I get scared of the really fast rides. But you know what, its a great time to actually have fun and laugh at yourself. I know for a fact that I'm gonna freak out. But, then after the ride I'm like what an idiot I am! And we all laugh. The picture at the end of the ride is the best! And I'm never the one who looks the dumbest!

I grew up with this situation. My father even tried to force me onto a rollercoaster (the gods had mercy on me and fortunatley there was a thunderstorm that shut down the ride RIGHT before I had to get on). All I can say is ignore them and do not allow them to see that it bothers you. Thats why they are doing it, to get a rise out of you.
I am going in two weeks and i am scared to death because my 6 year old wants to get on everything and I don't like to ride squat LOL. |
|

really?
|
well, you dont go on them. period. you know what you like and what you dont like. when we go on rides its for our excitement and pleasure not to please others. if its not your thing stand your ground. youll be happier that you did and they will just have to respect you. enjoy yourself while youre here, there are so many other fun rides and things to see and do!! |

Disney only has a couple fast rides. The park was developed with small children in mind. Don't let their teasing get to you. You should be able to ride all but a couple rides and everyone will be having so much fun that they will forget all about your fears. Only ride what you are comfortable with. The nice thing about Disney is that you can stand in line with you family but not get on the ride. Good luck....I am confident you will have a splendid time. |

If your biggest problem in life is what rides to ride at Disneyworld, I think you're doing OK.
Buddy up with someone in your family that doesn't like the fast ones.
Or, learn to like them. Maybe you like now. |

Try the rides, You just might like them. As a young child i loved fast rides, it gave me a rush. Just like the Story Green Eggs and Ham. Try them try them and you will see that you just might like them Sam I am. Just joking sorry got off track. Just go on the rides and see if you like them, if you do not so what ,your family will get over it. |

Why Fear the Dark?

just retort back, fight fire with fire, sarcasim with sarcasim, that's what i do =) but, honestly, you should try some of the scary rides, they're so fun, you might enjoy them once you get on them.

they shouldn't pressure you into riding rides you don't want to....if its only your brothers or sisters telling you to do this then ask your mom or dad to wait with you while the others go on the ride that they want.
although some of those rides that look scary are actually pretty fun so they might just be encouraging you to try out the rides they they find fun to see if you like it too! |
|

Disney is all about having fun, so do what you like. My 4 year old went of the Tower of Terror and had fun and one of my older kids went on it when he was about 6 and now he's addicted to it. You might want to try a scary ride at least once and see what happens, you might find you like it. |

If you dont like them noone should question that. Especially being family they should respect your wishes to not go on their rides. Just tell them that you would like to have fun and you wont be having any fun rideing those rides and being made fun of for it. Also let them know that their comments hurt your feelings hopefully they will respect you and stop.
Best of luck |

Tell them that Disney is a place where everyone can have fun and be comfortable. If they will have fun on the rides, and you won't, there is no point in you going. Just tell them "either I can go on a few of the smaller rides, yuo can go on the bigger ones!" |

If I was you I'd grow up!! amusement parks are fun because of the rides! And if your family is going to spend some 50 bucks to get you into the park at least you can do the fun things about being there! |

Kiddo The rides are more then safe! You can't get hurt. So Show your family how you ride the scariest one and just smile .Every one is scared of something. I'm a Bounty Hunter and a Biker. Not to much scares me but truth be told I would gladly fight three other bikers at the same time rather then deal with a spider! How stupid is that? You can do this!! |
