nope - as long as you have a photo id (like a drivers lic) for hotel check in or to write a check you are good to go

Maybe you need to clarify your question or maybe you and your friends saying you need a passport need to go back to school - specifically 3rd grade geography.

Are you an American citizen? If so, I fear for the future of this country. Orlando is in Florida, Houston is in Texas, these are both states in the US. You do not need a passport when traveling within the US and you never have. Unless you are traveling to Florida via Mexico or another foreign country, this is one of the dumbest questions that have been asked.

If you are a visitor to the US and asking this question, you will have a passprot to enter the US and will need to keep it with you on your trip.

Nonsense, that's ridiculous, you don't need any passport to travel within the US.
Only if you travel to other country, then you'll need a passport.

Of course not. This isn't Russia.

Seriously, though... if you've never been out of Texas and have to ask a question like that, reconsider your trip.

If you're a US citizen, you won't need a passport. Of course, if you're planning a side trip to the Bahamas, then you will need it.

stewthur
Are you kidding,??? plz just stay in Houston

Im not sure about USA but in the UK any form of accepted ID can be used so your drivers liscense or any recognised form of ID would be ok.

Kristina L
IF you are a US citizen, than you do not require a passport to travel within the US.

IF you are not a US citizen and are traveling within the US, you need to have your required paperwork to show proof you have approval to be here. In this case, a passport may be required.

hannah
no you do not need a passport unless for some reason your going to mexico on the way

Have you ever left Houston? While Texas is just like its own country, I assure you that you are free to wander past the Texas border without a problem. Be careful at the checkpoints! LOL.
