Disney World (in Florida) is awesome. It's a great family vacation place. For kids ages 8-10 (like me) they think it is so great that it is a once in a life time chance. Oh, and there are rides that aren't scary at all. There is a race car ride where you can drive cars, (they are on a track) Dumbo the elephant ride, and alot more. At night in Magic Kingdom, there is a light parade, and then by the castle there are fireworks. You can even pay to eat breakfast in the castle and eat with the prncesses. (I don't think your son would like that, but I did because I'm actually a girl) And the Great Wolf Lodge is even better for a kid who doesn't like roller-coasters. It has an indoor waterpark (huge) AND an outdoor waterpark. The indoor waterpark is bigger than the outdoor. There are restaurants in there, too, so you don't have to leave and miss out on your fun. Well I think I'm wasting your time just by you reading it!!!! I hope I helped. :) |

The Epcot center is good, I wouldn't call it great, in fact Disneyland is over-rated and expensive. I believe a 10 yo boy would find the Smithsonian Institute a lot more exciting, I'm sure the adults will too. Get your family some brochers and check it out before you make up your mind, It trully is once in a life time experience. |

Disneyland and Disneyworld are theme parks, not amusement parks so they have far less rides than something like Kings Island and Cedar Point. They focus on the entertainment of younger children with the characters and characters houses and stuff. I think Disney would be a good choice if hes not going to want to get on rides. |

What about a water park? They have slides and waterfalls and wave pools. |

When my sister and I were about 10 and 7 my parents took Us on a Disney cruise which was a lot of fun and I've heard that cruises are getting fairly inexpensive with the economy! Also Disneyland is a lot of fun and the rides aren't very hardcore. It's all about the atmosphere there. Have fun wherever you go! |

I would really recomend GAtlinburg Tennessee. I know, what? Tennessee? Youve gotta be kidding me. But its beautiful for all ages. Smokey Mountains... Dolly wood theme park, mini-golfing, classic cars galore! Ive never seen a town w/ so many classic cars. Its clean, fun safe, and there is SO much to do.
I really recomend the helicopter tours, so fun!

Anything outdoors is great. Most kids are tentative at first, but after a while they really get into it. I ran a guest farm last year and saw many kids have the time of their lives. Even kicking and screaming when it was time to go. |

Come to Cincinnati-seriously. Here's why:
-Kings Island-amazing
-Newport on the Levee-so much for kids (newport aquarium is awesome!)
-The Cincinnati Zoo-ranked one of the best in the USA.
-The Ohio River-ok so its not a beach-but it's fun!
Also-Cincinnati isn't some ritzy and expensive place.
Good luck-I hope you all have a great time without spending tons of money! |

I live in New Jersey. I think everyone should visit Washington DC at least once in their life. There is nothing prouder than to be in our nation's capital. You can arrange a meeting with your state's representative or sentor as well. The White House is the ONLY executive mansion in the world that has regularly scheduled tours free of charge. |

Disneyland isn't worth it at all, unless you're a 7 yr old girl. Maybe you should save the money for a few years, until he can decide what would be an awesome Vacation. maybe you could save up even more and do a tour of Greece or something. |
