Ooookkkk The Vegas MONORAIL is by far the BEST deal on the Strip. 12 bucks for 24 hours of riding the length of the " Strip" from the Sahara to the Mandalay Bay.
http://www.lvmonorail.com/
Use it in conjunction with The Deuce to get you to Fremont Street.

Where you can see the Fremont Street Experience for FREE!

Utilizing those 2 options will save you some serious cash on Taxi or the hassle and stress of driving your own car becoming immersed in Vegas traffic, even if you know the back roads. Public transport like what they have provided in Vegas is where it is AT. Makes Vegas fun, cheap and stress free!
Plus, a cheap cannot miss in Vegas is the Pinball Hall of Fame. So much fun. Free to get in and they have every cool old and new pinball machine you can play! Best of all the money collected in the machines when played all goes to The Salvation Army! There is a bar right next door called Putters that will serve you free drinks when you put money in and PLAY they're extremely liberal video poker machines on the bar! So Worth the trip down Tropicana ave to the corner of Pecos Ave to visit. You'll have to take a cab there. Well worth it though!

Have Fun. I LOVE Vegas. |

There are two kinds of people in Las Vegas. High rollers and people on a budget. You can get by pretty cheaply if you stay in the roach hotels and eat McDonald's but if you are going to do that, why go? Getting around is not easy if you have not got a car. But there are a few things to know. For instance, you can take a free tram from Excalibur to Mandalay Bay. On the way back, it stops at the Luxor first. Staying at a hotel on the Strip saves a lot of travel cost. Eat breakfast at a buffet and you won't need to eat again until dinner time. So, you can spend twice as much on breakfast.
There is a lot to see but you have to cover a lot of ground. Those hotels are massive! If you want to see a show, the top shelf shows are not only expensive but nearly impossible to get tickets to once you are already in Las Vegas. On the other hand, the regular shows can be had for half price if you go to Tickets2Nite which is right next to the big Coke Bottle. Go there at around noon and they sell tickets for that same night for half price.
Drinks are free as long as you are gambling but if you do not tip the waitress at least a buck you will die of thirst before she ever comes back. If you like the video poker machines, play the ones right in the bar. Drinks are still free but the bartender keeps them comming.
If you forget or need anything like disposeable razors or a toothbrush, do not buy them in the hotel gift shops. There are large chain drugstores right on the Strip. Shop there. Also a good place to buy bottles of soda or water for the hotel room. Do not drink the bottled water they provide they charge you about $4 per bottle on your bill. Never drink anything from the minibar if there is one. Same reason.

Go to www.redweek.com or www.tug2.com or http://www.timeshareownerscommunity.com/ and rent a timeshare at the Polo Towers from an owner cheap. You will get a beautiful apt with a kitchen so you can save money on meals, a low rate, a place with free valet parking on the strip between the Hard Rock and the MGM for a lot less than a hotel room and there is a half price ticket booth in front where you can buy tickets to shows for free. The website about the place is www.polotowers.com |

Vegas can be very affordable because they want you to blow all your cash in the casinos. As you walk around at night ogling everything, people will usually be on the streets handing out free passes to shows and things. If you are easily entertained, you'll be fine. I went there with my cheap *** ex and we stayed at a motel off the strip, near the airport for about $25 a night. Yaay |

I would get an airfare/ hotel combo.
Cheap hotels on a budget but still good location on the strip
* Circus Circus
*Stratosphere
*Imperial Palace
*Excalibur
I have been to all the hotels and they are nice for someone on a budget.
When you check n you usually get coupons for discounts on lunches, dinners ect... Also you can find coupon books around.
Cheap things to do in vegas, it would just depend.
* Walking down the strip taking pics was fun (for me and partner)
*Downtown shopping (you decide what you want to spend or just walk around again.
*Gamble on the penny, five cent, or quarter slots.
*Go see a timesare you will see vendors EVERYWHERE!!! you can get free tickets to a show and free dinner.
Have fun!! Good luck you will have a great time. |

stay at a cheap hotel away from the strip. there are a few by the strip, but not on it. if you're willing to waste 2 hrs., you can get free tickets to some decent vegas shows if you're willing to go to a timeshare presentation. Those people are all over the place. |

Vegas thrives on money. You expect anything there to be cheap? |

ride the deuce, not the tram. deuce is only $2 for 24 hours worth of transport. the deuce also has a lot more stops, and buses running. tram is very limited to where it stops. play the penny slots to get free drinks! |
