It kinda looks like a huge warehouse on the inside. They have an entire grocery store, clothing department (men, womans, children's clothing) they have a department of childrens toys, a pharmacy with products as well as pharmacists on staff (you can pick up your prescription from there if you like). They have a card section that sells just about every card you can imagine...birthday cards, thank you cards etc. They carry gift wrap, school supplies, office supplies, furniture,lighting, home decor, kitchen supplies (anywhere from dishes to cups etc.) They carry home appliances irons, microwaves, vacuum cleaners. Jewelry- diamonds to generic items. They have a section that carries all kinds of tv's, video games, DVD players, they have a photo section where you can get your pictures developed or buy any kind of film or cameras you need (underwater camera's, digital etc) They have an area where you can go and get your family portraits if you like, they have an optometrist area where you can pick and choose what eyeglasses or contact lenses you need. They also have a smaller food court so if your hungry you can stop in for a quick bite to eat. They also carry weapons (hunting equipment, guns), Sporting goods from soccer balls, basket balls, camping equipment....whew! They have everything! There prices are relatively cheap as many, many people shop there. You can purchase clothing pretty cheap but that are stylish. Walmart is known as "Super Walmart" hence, the reason they have everything. However, not all of us like shopping there for many reasons. There was a boycott because on Christmas they took out the words "Christmas" from their marketing and replaced it with "Holiday" items. Last I saw I think they will return to "Christmas" wording...I suppose we shall see this year! :-) I hope this helps! Hugs from me to you....aaaallll the way from the U.S.A. |

depends on which type of Wal-Mart really.
Super Wal-marts have virtually a full-size supermarket. Normal Wal-Marts tend to focus less on the food, but they still have a small range (bit like a small corner shop). They sell clothes, shoes, electronics, etc. Imagine an Asda, with all of the non-food items mulitplied by about 10. |

yeah it sells things like exercise bikes, blenders, dvd/tv's, food, clothes, paint, tires/automotive.
Mejier is similar but just quite as good of prices.
we just got one here a few years ago, because they used to only be in rural area, now they are in cities everywere. |

You can get pretty much anything you need from a Wal-Mart store, or more specifically a Wal-Mart Supercenter.
Groceries, clothing, jewelry, toys, books, electronics, medicine, cosmetics, hunting/camping equipment, firearms, bedding, pet supplies, appliances, well, pretty much anything. |

yea, it has everything pretty much. The super centers have groceries, pharmacy, hair salons, nail salons, portrait studios, income tax preparation, eye doctors, some have McDonald's restaurants, clothing, house wares, shoes, toys, furniture, pretty much if you can think of it they have it, they even have automotive dept. that does tires and the like, lawn and garden, jewelry. |

Just come back from the USA, and stayed quite near a Superwalmart. It was fantastic, you could get your car fixed while you shopped and there was a McDonald's in the store. The best thing is the prices, stuff is really cheap. Tried Publix (like Walmart but not as big), but it was loads more expensive. You can buy almost anything in Walmart, cheaply. You should know who they are as they bought Asda here in the UK. |

It's the same company as Asda, Walmart bought them out. They sell everything you can imagine, when we went to Walmart in Laughlin (Nevada) that was like a whole day out! My Dad even managed to buy a fishing reel there! Imagine Asda and multiply it by 4. |

It's a mass -merchandiser. There are regular Wal-Mart's that sell general merchandise (automotive, arts & crafts, clothing, office supplies, toys, lawn and garden, health & beauty care, books, some furniture, electronics, a limited amount of food, just about everything.), then there are Wal-Mart Supercenters that carry everything the regular Wal-Mart carries plus groceries (it has a full service grocery -- including meat, produce, deli, and bakery departments). Many Wal-Mart's also offer a gas station, and some have an automotive service department. Most also do portraits.
If you can't get it at Wal-Mart you probably don't need it. |

One of their slogans is "everything under one roof", and they mean it. The big Walmarts called Super Centers have groceries, clothing, sporting goods, toys, a garden center, baby supplies, an automotive center with products for vehicles and also a garage where mechanics do maintenance on vehicles, a sewing section, a pharmacy, electronics, and there's probably more but I can't think of it right now. |

I love going to Walmart when I got to the UK, it's huge and really does sell everything. I like the clothes - Asda is part of the Walmart chain so you can buy George clothes as well as lots of other cheap brands - I bought some Rider jeans for $17 and i wish I'd bought a couple of pairs. If you want it - furniture, garden stuff, car stuff, groceries, clothes, bikes, cosmetics, etc, etc etc - you can get it in Walmart. |

It depends where you are in the country. I know here in the Northeast they are just department stores, that sell a limited amount of grocery items. In the Midwest they have Super Walmarts that sell everything under the sun.
Which ever one you go to though, they are smelly, they sell shoddy foreign made merchandise, they're crowded, they're not as cheap as they claim to be, and I've heard horror stories about the way they treat their employees.
Thank goodness I have a wealth of choices of stores in my area, so 99.9% of the time I can avoid going to Walmart, and I find that if you keep an eye out for sales you can get things even cheaper at other stores. |

Well, I am Pickles! I live in the USA! I live near a Walmart and I will tell you about it. I have seen actress Kirsten Dunst there. Some people said that it wasn't her but it definitely was!
