Is September a good time to go to Disney World?

Yes, September is a great time of year. And you get a big perk. If you stay inside the park, you get the Disney Dining Plan FREE!! But, only during the months of August and September, be sure to ask for it when you call...

September/October time is great the weather is BRILLIANT, not too hot or too cold. And the rides and resorts are exactlly packed so you get on the rides pretty quicklyX.

Yes, nice weather. If you want to go in even better weather go in October, not to hot and the nights are cooler - plus not too crowded. I went once in October and Epcot had a food and wine festival that I think is yearly, their site would probably say.

Yes, a very good time. Crowds are at there lowest and its still warm enough to go on water rides and to the parks.

Yes, I went this past September (1st-9th). It will be very very hot (it averaged 90 everyday), however this is hurricane season so it will rain a lot. I guess we got lucky when we went cuz it barely rained, and someone said that was rare for that time of year. The great part was the short lines. By this time summer was over and everyone went back to school so the longest line was like 10 minutes (without a fast past even). The one and only time we waited a long time for ANYTHING was the Toy Story ride and that was because it's a new ride. It said a 50 minute wait and we waited 1 1/2 hours. But remember that was the ONLY ride we waited over 10 minutes in line. So besides the extreme heat, it will be the best time of your life!

Hey Jennifer,

I just went to Disney World this past September from the 28th to October 1st and I've never had a better trip. There was virtually no one there. The longest we waited for any ride was 20 minutes and it only happened once. The other rides and shows only had a 5 to 10 minute wait. The hotels were pretty empty and so were the flights going there. I highly recommend going in September.

September is also a good time to go because it's a value time at Disney. Therefore the hotels are cheaper, the flights are usually cheaper and if you stay on property then you can also use the free Disney Magical Express service. My trip with my boyfriend only came out to 700 each and that included airfare, hotel room, food, souveneirs, park tickets, etc.

it's still pretty hot but beware that is the peak of hurricane season.
the crowds should be pretty low.

I have gone twice in September. The crowds are not bad, but it is still very hot.

Yes! September is considered to be Value season by the WDW Resort. Room rates are cheaper and the parks are less crowded. Avoid labor day weekend, however or it'll be hard to move around. The weather in Florida is much more enjoyable in the later months of Summer as well.

Keep in mind that the water parks typically close the first week of Sept, so if you were planning on checking out Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon, you'll need to plan an earlier trip.

Have fun!

SandwichGeneration
The crowds are definitely smaller in September; and there are usually specials and good rates. Keep in mind that September is still during our wet season; we still have afternoon thunderstorms nearly every day, it is still very warm (daytime highs in the upper 80s to mid-90s), and it is still very, very, humid.

Mid-October to mid-November is my favorite time weather-wise. It's not quite as hot plus the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot is going on.

Yes, it isnt as hot as summer, but it is still warm. It might get hot, but I think that would be a great time to go.

Listen to bamagirl- she knows what she's talking about. We went in September in 2007. AWESOME vacation. Weather was hot, yes, but don't you want it to be hot so you can take advantage of the pool? The crowds were VERY light and at some times completely non-existent. The dining plan made life so easy, and since we went in September, we got it for FREE. SO COOL!

As long as it's not a holiday,or school's out, then you'll be fine. I hear people say all the time how surprised they were that it wasn't packed when they went in Oct. You'll be fine, and you shouldn't have to wait a long time for a ride!
