We wanted to know if anyone had been to Florida in june before & how long it took to queue for major rides?

We are going to Disney World, Universal, Busch Gardens and Seaworld.

Busch Gardens is going to have the shortest wait times out of all the parks only because it is not in Orlando and most tourists don't feel like traveling that far (you'll still have wait times though). As for the other parks June is the start of "Peak Season" for us as kids are already out of school here in Florida and are getting out everywhere else so you will have crowds. The major rides during the day do get up to 2+ hours wait and they do have "technical difficulties" especially when running like that so you may get "kicked" out of line. The Fast Pass system is great as long as you get them soon enough they can and do run out half way through the day and they DO NOT re-open them once there gone there gone for the day. You could run to the "bigger" rides first but you have to remember that everyone else has that in their mind too "Oh, the park just opened no one will be at Tower of Terror now", NOT true that is where everyone runs to first, but the lines are still shorter then then they will be in the middle of the day.
Just remember you are on vacation so don't let the little things stress you out. Just have fun and enjoy yourself!

June is one of the busiest times of year at Disney World (kids are off from school). Anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 1/2 hours.

Went last year in June and doing the same this year. The best time to go to the major parks is late afternoon as all the crowds have gone and the weather is slightly cooler. We met all the well known Disney characters and had pictures taken with them without anyone around. The parks stay open late and most put on really spectacular firework displays once it gets dark. Have a good time.

June is fairly busy. Kids are just getting out of school, so for all those parents who wait until summer break this is the time that they go. It is also very hot in June, so keep that in mind. The queue depends on the rides. A ride like Space Mountain will probably take up to an hour, but things like the TTA might be a walk on. I recommend staying on Disney Property and taking advantage of their extra hours that are only for resort guests. On certain days you can enter the park or leave the park later if you are staying in a disney hotel.

Went in July and it took an hour to see Micky, about 30 mins for space mountain. Universal St where the same. Plus Very hot so make sure you have a drink and an empty bladder before you start queueing!

I was there last Feb and it was 30mins per ride but tickets you can get in there that lets you skips some rides Just ask about them on your way in. I think they are called fast pass

Enjoy your Holiday

i have been many time in may, june and july, Generally your going to wait 45 min. to and hour for major rides. At least that's what the sign at the start of the line will say, it never seems to take quite as long though. Unless you have to pee or your hot. good luck! i'll be there myself in a week!

Well i live in Florida and I have been to the parks thousands of times. The rides take about 45 min at the most, but sometimes faster depending on how busy it is.

I have always gone to Disney in June and first of all it is very hot so make sure you are well hydrated. Second, June is a very busy time of year so the lines will be long but if you plan for them you should be fine. The bigger rides like Splash Mountain, Expedition Everest, Soarin, Tower of Terror,...etc will definately have much longer times than say the tea cups, The Seas with Nemo and Friends, Pirates of the Carribean, etc. For the bigger rides, I would suggest you get a Fast Pass. This is a slip of paper that you get by putting your park ticket into a machine and a paper spits out and gives you an allocated time slot for when you should come back. It is usually about 2 hours later, so in that time you can ride a ride that has a shorter line, or catch a show, eat, whatever. Then once you are in your timeframe you go to the Fast Pass line and you will be able to ride the ride in no more than 15 mins. This helps for those rides that can be up to a 130 min wait or longer. This option is free, all you need to do this is to have your park ticket handy. Have a fun trip.

I don't know what these people are talking about. I worked there and my parents work there. We will NEVER go in June. It's so busy, they have blackout dates for the employees. they're not even allowed to go. This is just disney but it's all the same. let me recommend something to you ok? Go on rides during the parades. No wait cause everyone's watching the parades which are lame. fast passes suck. You can't come back for several hours. I'm not trying to be cynical. I'm truthful. It probably only sucks for me though because I've been there on days where you can ride rides over and over with no wait. some rides you hardly have to wait at all but ones like splash mountain and test track, you're going to have a hell of a wait. Just to let you know though, the waits are never as long as the wait listed. for instance, if you're going to ride space mountain and the wait says 45 minutes, you're probably going to have a 15 minute wait. Don't forget also you're going to have weather in the 90s so bring water and fill up at water fountains. they overcharge.

i live around the area and go to the parks many times a year, from my experience, i can say that although universal, sea world and disney do get long lines, they know how to manage and usually keep the line wait down to under an hour, disney seems to be the best at crowd control, however i would have to say that busch gardens is the worst at crowd control, especially when it comes to long lines (i have had to wait well over two hrs for some rides and each line there is at least 1 hour!)

I was there in June last year, longest wait was for around an hour. you can buy fast track tickets. Only problem is the heat, try and get there first thing as you will be worn out by 2pm!

Voice of Reason
I would recommend a book called "Brits Guide to Orlando and Walt Disney World" - can't remember who wrote it. It gives really useful advice on the best days to go to each park, what rides to head for first, etc.

leeandniky
The queues are about the same all year round really. 15mins for smaller rides and then anything up 2 an 2hrs!! Get there really early and go on the big ones first!!!
