You may get heckled a bit, especially with the year the Yankees are having so far, but you should be fine.
Just don't make trouble and you shouldn't find any. Most people are nice, just like everywhere else.
Hope that helps! |

There is a very strong possibility you will:
a) have rude comments directed towards you by strangers as you are walking down the street
b) get in a verbal altercation with a Sox fan
c) get into a barfight with a Bostonite |

for the most part you should be safe... You will probably get some dirty looks and some people who flip you off but you probably wont die... PROBABLY. Just don't call extra attention to yourself/don't attend any baseball games and you should be fine...MABEY. |

Don't act like a jerk, and people won't be jerks to you. . . .It's as simple as that. Nobody will bother you if you're just walking around minding your own business. Give and get respect, it's not a bad city at all. |

You might get heckled a bit... but why wear the Yankee crap? |

I love it when I see this question come up. I promise, we Bostonians aren't as mean as you all seem to think we are!
We'll tease you, and some of us even might be serious, but it's pretty unlikely anyone will attempt to kick your @ss unless you act like a jerk.
However, the easiest (and smartest) thing to do would be to rethink your mistake, and join Red Sox Nation! Why would you want to root for a team like the Spankees when you can root for the greatest team in the sport? Go Red Sox! |

You might get some verbal harassment, but if you ignore it you'll do fine. Many people wear Yankees hats in this city, you will not be the only one. |

The hat maybe but the shirt...well, lets just say I hope you have a good life insurance policy.
You'll get a lot of dirty looks and jeers for wearing it. I hope you have good self confidence. |

Stay near the colleges and avoid eye contact. For christ's sake don't go into any working class neighboorhoods |

I am from NY, but when there is the Red Soxes and Yankees at Fenway I usually don't go anywhere near that. You will probably hear 100 times Yankees suck, because they are poor sports there. At least Red Soxes fans are welcomed in NY! |

you better have a fast car or be a good runner i am a sox fan but i am not going to I'll give you advice and what they might do
1) a sox fan might verbally abuse you
2) you might get into a huge fight with a sox fan
3)stay as far away from fenway park as possible
4) you might get in a bar fight
you would be better off not wearing any Yankee's gear for now
you will survive without wearing it
but if you wear Yankee's gear i won't guarantee you will |
