Well u can go walk on the Golden Gate Bridge and view it from many places. Good photo opps there and in Coit Tower on Telegraph Hill. Fisherman's Wharf is a nice walking area as is Pier 39. Check out virtualtourist.com and query San Francisco

There are lots of cool things to do. There is Pier 39, which offers several restaurants, shopping & vendors, street performers, views of the sea lions, aquariums, bay cruises and rides (http://www.pier39.com/).

There are also trips and tours of Alcatraz (take the ferry it goes right by the Golden Gate Bridge). It is really cool, in my opinion. An island prison.

And there is also, Haight & Ashbury St. The hippy neighborhood where the Grateful Dead was known to walk down. It is quite interesting and has several street performers, shops, vendors, and overall unique experience.

Have fun!!!

Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf, and Ghiradelli Square are lots of fun... shops, restaurants, and things like the Ripley's Museum.

Chinatown is cool too. Shops, restaurants, old people playing instruments arythmically.

Golden Gate Park, Fort Mason, and the Presidio are fun to visit... great views and places for the kids to run around.

Hang out at the Zen Center on Paige St. A barrel of laughs :)) As one of my dear friends once said, we've tried Buddhism for 20 years, and have decided to just go back to being alcoholics. One of the funniest lines ever, eh?

briannasaggy
for kids they have zoos, all different kinds of cool museums, ice skating rinks, etc.

for teens they have great shopping

and lastly for seniors they have the most amazing restaraunts. they also have all different types of plays, but you might have to buy tickets ahead of time.

You don't state when or your budget, but here are some good ideas:

- S.F. Zoo is great
- Exploratorium
- Chinatown shopping
- Alcatraz tour
- Federal Reserve Bank (they have public tours)
- Asian Art Museum if the little ones can handle it
- Giants game (in the spring)
