What's so great about Canada?

I've read a couple of answers about people moving to Canada and I just wanted to know why.

They might like the work, they might like the weather, they might be going to school (tuition costs in the US floored me when I was looking into them), they might have friends or family, they might be sick of Bush (but they're getting Harper. Seriously, WTF people?). Lots of reasons really. It depends on the person. Having traveled back and forth between the US and Canada quite a bit I can say there is really no serious difference in culture, except Americans have this obsession with bumper stickers I keep meaning to ask about...

coolgerman77
there is nothing special about Canada. there just idiots who think that if they leave this country then and go there that the politics will no effect them anymore. Unfortunately for them Canada is just as bad as the US. They have the same trouble as we do

I saw a couple posts that said some Canadians were moving to the U.S. A Trading Spaces show maybe?
On a slightly serious note ,it must be a personal choice, employment opportunities or just a change ...and yup we are equally messed up,
yet different :) As I would tell people whom wished to buy my three girls toys for Christmas. Get the same but different so they won't fight! Example the dolls are the same doll, different hair color/colour or clothes ;) I hope that confuses you more, I hate being alone and confused,I like the company! lol

Free health care.

Everything

The Americans of my acquaintance have cited two reasons:

1. universal medical care in Canada
2. fear that a military draft will have to be reinstated in the US.

I live in BC, We are tha California of Canada. We have a very mild climate but if you travel all over bc we really have every climate. You can go to the desert, the mountians for snow, hiking, ocean, lakes really everything. We have a good economy, little crime (compared to the States) Everyone has a liberal and relaxed attitude. Come and check it out, you won't be dissapointed.

It's pretty nice actually. Lots of areas that are practically crime free. People don't even lock there doors. And its beautiful. Not that its so much GREATER than the U.S. but its nice so if you need a change why not?

I want to live in Canada because it's a far more liberal country than the United States, and people's civil liberties aren't challenged as often as they are here (gay marriage is legal, and so are abortions, and there's socialized health care). Also, I live in Florida and would go ANYWHERE to escape the crazy heat. :)

lotagirl957
they're more expensive
