I lived in Ft. Lauderdale for some years and found it to be more friendly than Miami or Boca. It's close enough to Miami on the South side to get to most of the attractions or concerts that Miami has but far enough to be away from the high crime that Miami has. I found Boca on the North side to be kind of stuck up, less friendly... there are more people there with a lot of money and an attitude to match. However, if you're in the mood to go slumming with the rich, they have excellent high-brow concerts, restaurants, etc. A good change once in a while. lol I truly enjoyed living in Ft. Lauderdale and only moved when my family had to relocate for job reasons. I hope to someday be able to go back. :)

Silly Girl
My grandmother lived in West Palm Beach for a while. It's mostly a giant retirement community, but it is very pretty, nice little neighborhoods and it avoids some of the big city pitfalls of Palm Beach.

DUH!
Next to Bush Gardens it is sooooooo pretty down there!!!!!!!!!

slingblade
the best city is cocoa beach. right on ocean, close to jobs and centrally located to daytona and orlando. if you can surf our breakers, you can surf anywhere.

I live on Indian Rocks beach, a quiet area, mile south of Clearwater Beach, perfect. Its also 45minutes to Tampa, great place to spend a day. So we are outside of the party, visit as needed!!!!!! Oh yeah, Trolley takes you up and down the strip, yes!

South Beach, Miami! Hot, tropical, fun, gorgeous people! I LOOOOOVE it here!

orlando is NOT the best city in florida, do not believe those answers! it is very nasty. (sorry but it's true). the only reason people may think it would be neat to live there is because of disney world, but seriously, if you lived in orlando would you really be going to disney world that often? MAYBE once a year. and all the people i know from there aren't very nice.

south florida is the best...miami! i live in miami and it is awesome...there are so many things to do. it is really fun there...always crowded

MIAMI!!! SOUTH BEACH, DEFINETLY
