When I was in my 20's I preferred Austin, but now I prefer San Antonio. If I was looking for a small town, I would probably choose Marble Falls.

I been to Houston and I tell you this, it has nasty looking concrete highways. The city appears dirty.

Austin is a quiet city, it has ethnic diversity, perhaps people from the east coast will get adapted to this city much easier.

I spent sometime in San Antonio. This city can be charming, very pretty. The jobs in this city are not as abundant. There is competition with finding work. People don't leave the good jobs. What is the point of living in a pretty city when you can't get a job? Get ready for culture shock. about 95% of the population is Mexican. 95% of the restaurants are mexican. If you have a problem with mexicans, this is not the city for you. There is not much ethnic variety in san antonio, and yes it's like being in mexico. To someone who is not used to the mexican culture this can get to you overtime.

Actually, I don't have a favorite city in texas. I relocated to san antonio, and only after a month I'm getting ready to move back to the East coast.
