I would throw my votes with both egansz who said Santorini (it's a Greek island) and with Carmstrong13, who said Kauai Hawaii. I've been to both and they each have their amazing things.

Santorini is crazy, different, and beautiful. Don't be afraid of heights though. the main towns (Fira & Ia) hang over the edges of very tall cliffs. The sunsets are beautiful, people friendly, culture/history interesting. and how many people do you know who have ever been to Santorini...It's different and exotic.

Kauai Hawaii I think is my favorite (I got married in Poipu Kauai) Total relaxation. I can honestly say even our wedding was completly stress free. Perfect weather, quiet towns, friendly people, beautiful tropical scenery, excellent beaches/snorkling/surfing, tons to do, or do nothing at all...can't beat it!!

I'm from the midwest too (Upper Michigan) I travel alot and these are my 2 favorites to date...Have fun.

My favorite place is Alaska. But since you want to go somewhere warm you could go to Florida, California, Alaska, the Caribbean... etc. You have lots of options. You could also take a cruise from a port in Florida or somewhere near you. You could go somewhere warm, sit in the sun with a cold drink and just relax.

It depends upon what you enjoy doing. If roller coaster's are your thing - then Sandusky Ohio for Cedar Point - the roller coaster capital! Not far from Cedar Point is Kings Island for more coasters to check out. The upper penninsula of Michigan is beautiful with the Mackinac Bridge, for history you can tour thru Fort Michimillimac, take a short boat ride to Mackinac Island, the Soo Locks and Tahquamenon Falls, and for fun you should climb Castle Rock in St. Ignance - don't forget to check out the fudge (YUM!) plus there is nothing like checking out a Michigan Sunset on the beach. If entertainment is your choice for fun, then head to the entertainment capital of the world: Las Vegas, baby!! Or if theater is your idea of fun: New York on Broadway! Have fun!

New York City's a great place to visit. All of the celebrity talk shows are free. You can all visit art galleries and museums. No place can top their shows, comedy clubs, and restaurants.

If you're looking for a warmer climate, Hawaii is beautiful.

If you want to get out of the country, Florence, Italy, is the best European city I've ever been to. The atmosphere's really comforting and there's a lot of rich history, art, and architecture.

San Diego California. I think it is the most gorgeous city I've ever seen, and there is tons to do. You're right on the ocean, there's the best zoo in the country, sea world, Balboa park, tons of museams, you're really close to tiajuana and withing striking distance of L.A. if you want to do disneyland or any of the other theme parks in the area. Plus the weather is always pretty good. I could spend months in San Diego and never get bored.

I would suggest, Kauai, Hawaii. Its not to expensive to get there if you book a condo for a week and get a rental car and plane ticket...my wife and I did it for a week and had a great condo right on the water and we spent about 2000 dollars total including expenses there. It was extremely beautiful, peaceful and serene. Its like another world. The people are very friendly and there are tons of things to do. Snorkeling is alot of fun, the fish come right up to you and they're very colorful, there are great Kayaking trips to take and waterfalls to see, alot of beautiful sights...lots of good food to eat and mai tai's to be had! I highly suggest it. You'll love it.

I would maybe say Disney World, but I haven't been, but plan to go sometime this year maybe. You may also want to try a beach like Mytrel Beach, very fun and affortable or somewhere like Hawaii.

The best place I've ever been to was Hawaii, but I haven't really been outside the U.S., so I'm sure there are better places out there.
