Indiana is my home -- although I live in the Chicago suburbs and have lived in Illinois a long time now.
I still think of myself as a Hoosier.
With all the things people say that are negative about Indiana -- see all previous responses -- I like being in Indiana.
My mother and father are buried in Indiana. My brother and sister still live there. The weather is very mild and the cost of living is less than most places.
There is more to do in Indiana than what people give it credit for -- but like most places, it is what you make it. If you want to knock Indiana, one can find the things to say. If you want to look for the good things -- they are there.
People are very genuine and friendly.
People live in Indiana because they want to live there and they have grown to appreciate it for the good things it has to offer.

Bobbi Knight basketball.....With or without him his presence is still all around Indiana and the Hoosiers are still very dedicated to him. Go on campus and you find more Texas Tech fans then Hoosier fans.
Bobbi Knight for sure!

People think indiana is a place where theres no people and nothing fun going on. Just fields or corn and stuff. i just laugh becuase indiana is my home. theres billion people here. there's not ONE feild over by me. We do the normal things hang out at the movies, play sports, go to the malls and spend $427902759830457039 a year. We go the the arcade we do so much stuff. it's better than living anywhere.
