What Is It Like in USA?

Well, I come from England and I just love America! But I have never been, can you just explain the atmosphere or anything to do with America, just how different is it to England....

Im an American who lived in England for 2 years (newton-le-willows)
There are major differences!
I recommend coming to America but not as a tourist. Dont go to Florida (barf) or California (double barf) Try somewhere like New York for the busy vacation, or try somewhere like a cabin in Montana for a relaxing one.
We have SO much to offer. There is something to do no matter where you go. Just avoid Tourist traps.

I'm in Michigan and our up north is picture perfect.
Hunting season just started, there woods are amazing this time of year.
Summer we have Macknac Island which is great and relaxing

Pick a state and GO FOR IT!
You never know what you will find here.

between 11 and 15 I was in boarding schools in Sussex. Now I live in southern CA. It is so different.
The weather is better here. The temp is relatively constant. In Sussex we had hot sweltering days in the summer and snow in the winter. Here it is hot but not unbearble in summer, and mild and temperate in winter. In fact I went surfing last weekend.
The atmosphere is different. In Sussex we would often just lay around on the grass in the afternoons, espcially Sunday. Here it feels like there is not enough time in the week, let alone a day to get everything done.
There is som much more to do. I can drive 30 minutes and have more than my fill of activites. Movies, shopping, clubs, sports arenas, museums, theaters, parks, amusement parks. If I'm willing to drive 90 mins I can reach seaworld, skiing, moutain climbing, hot air ballooning, wine country, and on and on it goes. In Sussex, once we had gone to the shops that was the end of the day.
On the down side, you can't exist without a car. all your friends are miles away. You measure everything in terms of drive time. I don't know more than a half dozen people that live in my neighborhood. I only know one of my immediate neighbors. you don't have a strong sense of community. And the people in your community may be very different than you, so there's no common religion, hobbies, activities. It's not like the whole neighborhood goes to the school footbal match or the same church.

That help?

it's boring. i want to go england real bad. tourists probably love it here but its boring.

everyone marries their sister

KING.
im from London and i went to florida this summer.
there are good and bad points
the people are generally friendly, i didnt feel threatened at all.
everything there is big, spacious and nice, the houses are huge compared to what we have!
the weather is nice in the southern states.
people talk to you alot, which when shopping can get real annoying
"would you like any help sir. NO."
but yeahh, its a nice place i wouldnt mind living there

It's a very big country, bigger than most of the major European countries put together, so it's difficult to sum it up in a few words. It has everything from the huge sprawling cities of New York and Los Angeles to unspoiled wilderness areas such as Yellowstone National Park. It has climate zones ranging from the tundras of Alaska to the Arizona desert and the tropical islands of Hawaii and the Florida Keys. It has entertainment ranging from world-class symphony orchestras to rodeos. You can find almost anything here, but not necessarily all in one place.

Baby Jack born 4/5/09
I cant compare it to anywhere cuz ive never been out of the USA.

well we don't drive on the left side of the road. nor do we have those confusing circular intersections...and if you're cute and you have a nice accent? i know a lot of my friends who would drool over you. haha

CinderBlock
It's big, spread out. There's a huge variety of places, so it depends on what you like: coast (Florida), western desert (Phoenix), beautiful mountains (Denver), nightlife (Vegas, NY). Sparse public transportation except in the largest cities, so you need a car to get around. Everything is cheaper here than in England (or most other places in the world). It's wonderful!

OK the thing about the US is the freedom, yeah you have freedom of speech and all that other crap, but it's also really dull once you have been here for a while. I've been living in California for all my life and I can't stand it. There is a lot to do, like shopping, sports, concerts, mountains up north, and a TON of people. It's fun when you first get here, then you get used to it

i live in Florida and it is hardly cold here at all, so we can go to the beaches anytime of the year, however i have never been to England, i hear it is beautiful there, and wet and cold. it does rain here too but not as much i think. hahaha i can see how people say we talk to them a lot because when i am at work we are supposed to ask people if we can help them, i can see how that gets annoying. sorry!hope i helped.
can i have your opinion on my question?
