i love San Francisco! i love going to fisherman's warf, a touristy place. there's obviously seafood sold there, really tasty! i love getting clam chowder in a bread bowl, it's sold around fisherman's warf a lot. there's a lot of shops @ Pier 39, it's the best one i believe. you'll see tons of people there! along there is tons of shopping to do!
i have to buy french bread there, it's the best i've ever had! also crossing the golden gate bridge is cool.
if u wanna do some real shopping Union Square is really great. i went to San Francisco to celebrate my 16th birthday. the Rainforest Cafe is really amazing for younger children, even though i'm a teen, i love going there.

Walking across the Golden Gate Bridge. The views of the bay and the city from the bridge are awesome, and the bridge itself is amazing as it towers above you. It's a must-do while in the City.

take the ferry and go to Alcatraz, it's something that you feel that you're goin out of the routine, it makes you feel revitilized. I mean see the golden gate from the bottom and the city from the ocean is kinda cool

You should go see Golden Gate bridge, Chinatown, Fisherman warf, Pier 39, Coil tower, crooked street (Lombard and Hyde), Golden Gate Park, DeYong Museum, Aian Art Museum, SF Modern art Museum, Cable cars( starting at Powell and Market), and Union Square. If you still have time, you should visit Japan town and the Mission District. There are many excellent restaurant at down town area. The Slanted Door http://www.slanteddoor.com/
located at Ferry Building is very good and classy Vietnamese Restaurant for instance. You can dine while you are looking at the Bay Bridge. For transportation, please refer to the Muni Website http://www.sfmuni.com/cms/mms/home/home50.htm .

WOW...I love San Francisco....here are my fave things to do:
1. North Beach--great Italian restaurants, my fave is L'Osteria del Forno, it's right on Columbus. It's a little hole in the wall, only about 10 tables, but they have awesome food!--Also, while in North Beach walk up Telegraph Hill to Coit Tower---amazing views. Pretty steep hills however : )
2. Walk halfway across the Golden Gate Bridge--also go see Fort Point at the base of the bridge--pretty cool old jail house.
3. Giants game
4. Legion of Honor art museum
5. Alcatraz--but get tickets in advance, during the busier times like summer the tours usually sell out or you have to wait in line for an hour--go to www.https://www.pier41.com/availability/SALZ
to reserve on-line. Trust me, you will be glad you did!
6. If you haven't gone--go see Fishermans Wharf at least once. I personally think it's a tourist trap--but you should go there if you haven't been before.
7. Again--if you haven't ride the trolley at least once.
8. Walk through Chinatown
9. Shopping on Union Square
10. Fave restaurants--Boulevard (contemporary) and Harris (steaks)
11. Drive down Lombard Street, pretty cool to do at least once--however EVERYONE does this, so there's usually a line of cars waiting to go down the crookedest (sp?) street.

Have fun!

Well.. if you like Tennis, playing at the Golden Gate Park during the weekends is pretty cool... you hear Bongos and street music, no wind and the sun is great! Oh! and lots of lovely Hippie girls..

It depends on what you like to do. My personal favorite is to go to a San Francisco Giants game.

If you are into shopping try Union Square and the Nordstrom Mall.

If you want the true tourist experience visit Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf, and have a sundae at Ghiradelli Square. Then take a trolley ride.

San Francisco is a very unique and beautiful city. Enjoy!

I completely enjoy going to all the different cultural and street festivals in San Francisco. This month, I went to the Union Street Festival, the Haight Street Fair and the North Beach Festival - it's free and fun to shop at all the booths, sample foods and be with the people of San Francisco, both locals and tourists.

go to Golden Gate park entrance at stanyan and haight. follow the path down through the tunnel, out to a place called "hippie hill". this was the center of the hippie movement in SF, and on warm days you find the place filled with weed smoke, music, and crazy people dancing around in their intoxicated haze.

no better way to see the city.

i would also venture into north beach and explore a little. see how many back alleys you can find. try following union street up until it dead ends behind coit tower. there you can find a native colony of parrots and other tropical birds, just chilling amongst the SF landscape.
