Believe it or not NJ tops the list for me. Yes of course i grew up there, but i have lived many places and NJ has the best of most worlds....beach, mountains, farms, city, rural, lake, ocean, river, pine barrens. Climate is very seasonal. No hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes. Far enough away from NYC. Atlantic City. Close enough to Philly NY and DC....I could keep going.
