Well, don't go into South Central flashing gang signs. Los Angeles has a really bad reputation, and it's pretty unfair. I used to have a night job where I got off at 2 in the morning and had no problems walking home. Especially in places like Hollywood, there is a RAGING night life and people are out all hours. Granted nothing is 100%. You could be killed in an accident, but overall, the odds are good you'll be fine. |

Dont wear royal blue or red around southcentral LA ( you'll end up shot [I'm serious]) and don't try to act ghetto, that will attract attention from GHETTO people (like me) and you'll find yourself surrounded by guns

I have not been to LA but a relative who lives there told me she would never go to downtown LA by bus because robbery is common at the bus station. Other relatives are more worried about going to Oakland at night. |
