Orlando is GREAT for shopping with its Outlet malls. Not to mention all of the theme parks and attractions. But that type
of vacation is exhausting because you are overcome with the sheer magnitude of things to do!

St. augustine's beaches are gorgeous. But the water is cold so don't plan on swimming, unless you like it. The sand in St. Augustine is so fine it is like sugar. Daytona Beach is great, the sunrise is beautiful. Miami beaches are packed but fun and the culture and food is not to be missed. Shopping there is also great but much more pricey than Orlando. But you can also visit Viscaya, Key Biscayne, the Everglades, Key West from Miami. You can visit the Seminole Hard Rock casino in Broward county.

You should make a day trip to St Augustine. Go to the historic downtown area and tour the old fort. St Augustine is the oldest city in North America.

Old Town is definitely one of my favorite stops here in Florida. (I live here.) It not only has rides for the kids, rides for the adults, but also has an "old time" shop area, as well as car shows, an arcade, and many other things. Very fun.

Depends on what your coming to do.
Of course in Orlando, you have Disney World and Universal Studios...which both, are pretty fun!
Daytona Beach-has a nice beach community/pulls a very large crowd-if you want a nice beach with a NOT SO large crowd, try
Clearwater beach...just a little outside of Tampa Florida or St. Petersburg Beach-both outside of Tampa Florida. If you like gambling, there is a Hard Rock Casino in Tampa Florida and lots of clubs and bars in Ybor City.
If you want to see the "springs" which is nice BUT cold/all year round! Try areas in and around Gainesville Florida.
It would be easier if I knew what you were looking to do!

ok u might want to stay at the swan and dolphin hotel it is beautiful in the winter and you could almost walk to epcot and it is right next to the board walk only a few feet away from the hotel and there are alot of shops there and you can go on a swan boat in the hotels lake.

Oh my! Florida is just great. You definitely have to stop in St. Augustine, there are so many little shops there. There's even a Lighthouse there you could see. I mean the tickets are pretty expensive if you wanna go up, but it's definitely worth seeing! You have the bay there as well, so you can see all the little boats sailing. So that's St. Augustine. When we went, we stayed in Titusville. Not much to see there, but you could try! Of course, you're going to Orlando. There's other stuff there other than Disney. So I think you've got a great Christmas coming up! ENJOY!

If I went to Florida I would not waste time going to a shopping mall!!!
I like St. Pete Beach but I'm not sure why I like it other than the water is fairly shallow out to a great distance from shore so you can walk out pretty far with your head above water. And you can collect little shells if you want and watch the sun go down on the water. And if you wanted you could go to St. Petersburg or Tampa to do shows or whatever else you felt like doing.

Well it might be a little far, but Key West is really pretty, especially when you see the sunset. There are loads of people singing and dancing and doing magic tricks there to so kids would love it. Oh, and they also have the famous Key Lime pie and 6-toed cats:)

You must go to St. Augustine, it is the first of everything and beautiful.
Please eat at Barnacle Bills. There is a lot to do and see.

I don't remember all too well, because I was there about 5 years ago, but definitely make sure you check out the keys. And you might want to go swimming with dolphins too, it is a wonderful experience and it is worth the money. I really want to go back again, I had such a great time in Florida. I hope you have fun (:

I love the beaches so if your going with family that would be a great thing! I havent been there enough to remember shopping malls but I am sure there are alot!

i have been to Sanibel Island and it was really cool. there are lots of outlet malls there.
if you have time you should hit up disney. that is pretty sweet.

you can also go to miami. so many fun places to go there. visit key biscayne, coconut grove, bay side, downtown, sunset mall, dadeland mall, go to the keys

Anywhere but Disney. I took my family once to Disney thinking we would be pretty much the only one there. Guess what? So did the rest of the East Coast! Was the holiday ever.

There is a little island off the coast of Florida called Sanibel island. It's absolutely beautiful. My family and I used to go there every summer. It's a great time. Sorry if this doesn't answer your question... but maybe you might think about going there on another family trip It's very kid friendly.
