If you and your family are looking for upscale well-to-do communities with good schools etc, may I suggest where my oldest sister and her family live on the northside of ATLANTA in "SANDY SPRINGS, GEORGIA."
A few years ago it became a self-incorporated town and is proud to home to several FORTUNE 500 HQs in the form of UNITED PARCEL SERVICE, COX COMMUNICATIONS etc. They have plenty of shopping PERIMETER MALL as well as like 2 Metro MARTA Rail stops in addition 2 major hospitals. and churches as well including the well known pastor, Charles Stanley. |

Roswell and Alpharetta. Both are growing and expanding all the time and are not rednecky, like some of the other suburbs north of Atlanta. |

When we moved down, we settled in Cobb County because it has the best schools in Georgia. East Cobb and Acworth are nice. |

Decatur, Dunwoody, Alpharetta, Milton, Johns Creek, Sugar Hill, Suwanee, Woodstock, Vinings, Mableton, Oakhurst, Virginia-Highlands (well that's technically a neighborhood, I guess, but it's super nice). |

For families and retirees, Peachtree City is fantastic. We moved here from NJ over a year ago and love it! Great schools, extremely safe/no crime, lots to do, people drive golf carts everywhere, --my teens love it --we love it. Like our own world -- like living on vacation --yet still commutable to Atlanta. |

A lot of good suburbs are in Cobb County. Atlantic Station located near the city is also a great place for younger people, because of the near by shops, jobs, and entertainment. |

yeah, if your worried about rednecks that is no problem. its the wanna be gangsta mexicans thugs that think they own everything.
as for suburbs try: Suwanee, Lawrenceville, Duluth, Dacula, Peachtree City, Marietta, Alpharetta, Dunwoody, Kennessaw.
and the list goes on.............. |

All of the N. Fulton cities (Sandy Springs, Roswell, Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton). Cobb County towns and cities are nice, as well (Marietta, Kennessaw, Acworth, Smyrna). Peachtree City and Fayetteville in Fayette County are also nice. |
