Being from Boston I'd say come to Boston/Connecticut/Cape Cod.
The mansions in Newport,Rhode Island are breath taking .All within easy 4-5 hours drive from NY.
Also Niagara Falls is not too far from there and is worth seeing. The trip may cover just one day though, not much to see after that.
Anything you decide make sure you like the idea and do it for fun.Good luck! |

You`re going to NYC, and you have just five days! OK
Well, it`s winter and so you don`t need any beaches, cancel Florida & Hawaii. High places & mountains will be super freezing, so I would cancel Colorado. Niagra is nice, but 5 days is much more than it deserves!
If you are willing to fly for 5 hours & 30 minutes to get to the west coast, then I recommend Los Angeles andor San Francisco. They are both modern-style cities with various attractions along the year.
Vegas rocks and it`s much easier to get to, but make sure international shows and circus take place when you be there.
Otherwise, I would recommend Boston -which I like the most-, which`s an Old England small city style full of young people, since it has tens of universities, institutes & colleges. Moreover, it`s only 40 min away from NYC.
Wish you the best:) |

from nyc to the whole country or in that area of nyc? you can go to philadelphia which is west from there or go up north to boston, why not check out new jersey or go south to baltimore. thats just for this area though. chicago is definetly a city you should go to, washington d.c maybe, plenty of cities to see in california. it depends on what you like. |

Depends what you are looking for but there isn't anything that compares to NYC.
Maybe the Grand Canyon? I am afraid of heights so I wouldn't go there but I hear it's very nice :) |

That is a hard one, as we have so much to offer. If it were up to me, I wold bypass New York and go directly to the mountains of Oregon. There is nothing worth seeing in NYC but a bunch of buildings and rude Yankees. Not the Yankees you hear about in the foreign news papers but the Yankees you hear about from the folks that were raised to be polite.
North Carolina offers a bunch of great tourist destinations and we are some of the nice folks.
Come to Winston-Salem and then travel north for about 30 miles. There you will find some of the prettiest mountain vistas on the planet. |

The best part of the US is that everywhere is good for different reasons. North Dakota because of how far you can see, Denver for the mountains, Vegas for teh action, Miami for the women, List goes on and on....VEGAS it is! |
