Go for a drive out to Red Rock Canyon or Valley of Fire. Not far away from town, and really very pretty. In August be prepared for 110 degrees. |

Lots to do if you have some extra cash. Tour the Hoover Dam, rent a power boat in Lake Mead, take a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon or spend a whole day and drive to the Grand Canyon...
Also, check out the Red Rock Canyon... and if you are into racing, go out to the Las Vegas track and take the Richard Petty course.
Course, at the casino's you can also go to school and learn how to gamble... |
