Take the sightseeing tour bus. I like Broadway. A good museum would be nice. Statue of Liberty. Toys R Us has a rideable ferris wheel inside. NBC building.

Bundle up it can get rather windy here in NYC in December. I would say the Empire State Building, Macy's if you're into shopping, The Intrepid, The Chrysler Building. Times Square, Central Park, Rockefeller Center (see the Christmas tree there). I may have forgotten a few things, but that's a good start. You could include some museums and art galleries too.

I am in an office here right now, and it is cold, and when you come it will be colder! Bundle up! Come see the Xmas tree, regardless of your religion..it is beautiful. Go ice skating in central park, go to the top of the empire state building, visit the wtc site, walk around times square both during the day and at night..walk around the village AT NIGHT on the weekend (depending on age..it is filled with bars but very unique area)...see a broadway show.. Most of all though, just hang out in central park..

Jamerican
Empire State building and times square.

Definitely visit Rockerfeller Center and Go to the "Top of the Rock" The view is great..Even better than the Empire State Building Honestly..I know..I was born in Astoria Queens and raised my three children in Stuyvesant Town in Manhattan..Also take one of the tour busses around to the different sections of the city...You will see everything. Definitely get tickets to Radio City Music Hall...Don't bother to get the Orchestra or the 1st or 2nd balcony...Take the 3rd balcony and go to section H I think it is . It is much cheaper and you see more. Really, I know. I have been there so many times and I like the third balcony best...If you are young then you might want to see the East Village. I live there now between 1st Avenue and Avenue A on 7th street. Lots of restaurants of every different nationality... Definitely go to Grand Central Station. It's gorgeous and it has tons of places to see. Should not miss the Metropolitan Museum of Art...Fabulous..even if you do not do museums that much..Also go on concierge.com/destination and see New York Stuff..Times Square is also very, very exciting to see.. Try to go on to earthcom.com and NYC and see where the cameras are. Take your phone with you and stand in front of the camera and call home...They will get a kick out of seeing you live and also speaking with them at the same time...Also go on NYC.org and look up great places for tourists and get discounts too. Go to Macy's on 34th street too. It's very crowded but also see the Christmas Windows and also the one at Lord & Taylors on 39th and 5th Avenue...Gorgeous..St. Mark's place down in the East Village is also very, very interesting. You might see some really odd looking things..Guaranteed...Have a great time P.S. You should also try Lower Broadway and Canal Street and Chinatown and Little Italy...Nice...

The store windows are georgues. Macy's is the best, I think it's on 33rd and 7th, or somewhere near there. If you can tickets to Radio City, go. Times Square at night is beautiful. A great resturaunt is Mars 2112, although it's expensive. NBC, CBS, and ABC are great stores to go to. If you'll be near Centeral Park, it's nice there. Lastly, the best thing to do is walk around. It's a great way to experience the city. Have a wonderful trip!
