I would definitely wait until she's 21. The casinos are VERY strict about no on gambling (or hanging out in the casino) under 21. (In fact I was once told to leave the casino due to my licence being expired even though I was over 21--they don't mess around.) They will make her leave the casino floor. She will not be able to drink. There are not that many clubs you could go to, at least not any good ones. I grew up in Vegas and had many older friends. I have way too many memories of sitting in the hotel lobby while my friends had their fun in the casino.
Since I have been 21, visiting Vegas is a whole new, much better experience. Much more fun, no worries!
If you are just going for the shows and the mountains, great, go for it, but if you are planning to go and have a "what happens in vegas stays in vegas" kind of time, wait another year. Sorry, I don't mean to burst your bubble but I hope this helps!

you could get married!! I think the only thing you wouldn't be able to do is drink... so should be ok. Alternatively, you could wait till she is 21 too.

There's a ton of things to do now. The first time I went to Vegas, I was 20. It was just a few months before my 21st birthday. I tried to play the slot machines at The Flamingo, but I was carded a few times and was asked to leave. I spent the rest of the trip just hanging out at the pool. I ended up getting so sun burned that I got sun poisening and was shivering for 3 days. Not the best experience I've ever had. I eventually ended up moving to Las Vegas in 1997. It's grown alot and believe me, there are plenty of things to do out here. I've been here 9 years now.

Its fantastic. The hotels are amazing and so is the shopping. I took my daughter there when she was 20. We had a wonderful time.

Get her a fake ID.

He Won My State :-)
I went 3 times before 21 and thats how I first became hooked. She will love it trust me. I also went for my 21st Bday and my boyfriend was only 20 at the time. And trust me he had the time of my life. He loved it so much we went 3 times in a year period afterward

You can do a lot. Catch a show. You can have a very romantic dinner. The Stratosphere has an awesome restaurant, it's on the very top floor. Or just stroll up and down the strip, outside you can watch the water show at Bellaigio or the pirate show at Treasure Island. If you like rides there is a lot of rides~New York New York has a roller coaster so does the Stratosphere and Circus~Circus. There is plenty of arcades, at Excalibur, Circus~Circus, you can win your girlfriend a stuffed animal. Check out the animals at the Mirage or the awesome pools like at Mandalay Bay. There's lots to do under 21 and you two will still have lots of fun too.

It is definitely worth going - I've been twice and I'm under 20.
The place is so extraordinary, there's always something to go and do.
Freemont St is the most accepting street - I was allowed to go anywhere there, but the strip was a lot more restrictive. for instance, the staff in the paris hotel told me i couldn't be stationary on the casino floor!!

Wait until she turns 21... You'll both be able to have fun and enjoy EVERYTHING Vegas has to offer. She can't hang out in the casino - even if you're the one gambling....

I was three days before my 21st birthday and I was escorted out of MGM Grand's casino because I was playing nickel slots with my aunt.

Yes it is.
You can't drink or gamble. Legally!! But if she looks 21 you'll have no problem. You might if you don't look 21. There's a great atmosphere to experience. Some good shows but can be a bit pricey. Drinks can be pricey too. A Martini and a Corona in MGM Grand cost me $18 recently
Walk into any of the casino/hotels in the new strip and it's like walking into an unreal world. You can travel from Paris to Venice to New York floral gardens world of Alladin and more in a few hours.
Champagne Sunday brunch at Wynn's will set you back about $75 for two. Lots of champagne though.
The old strip. That is Freemont street has a lot more going on outside and a great atmosphere. Everything is cheap too, drinks, gambling and eating.
If you want to watch Premier or SPL football, there is a great British pub on Tropicana, "The Crowne'n Anchor". Around $5 a pint for British beer.
Away from Vegas there's the Hoover dam or a bit (a lot) further the Grand Canyon. Both well worth a visit. If you want a day in the fresh air walking go to Red Rock canyon. A good day out when your fed up couped up in the casino.
The States not as cheap as people make out. Not that you'll want to buy them, but Baked Beans $3 a tin.
You will enjoy yourself though. Just don't get carried away chasing a Jackpot

You won't get a beer.

As long as you look old enough and act old enough she should be ok. Step off the street into Casino Royal for the coldest $1 Michelob. Slots o fun has $1.25 beers.

Lydia
There is so much to do - even though she's 20 she'll still get on the slots. Also is she loves shopping there are plenty on Malls. The Mirage has the dolphin habitat and the secret garden with Lions and Tigers. There are loads of free shows like Sirens and Pirates and TI and the Carnival at Rio. You could spend a full day or more in each hotel !!! She will love the place !!!!

Vegas is best for all ages !

faraday_4ever
You will be able to anything, but she wont be able to gamble, drink or get married. Im under 21 and went to Vegas last year, there is still loads to do, visit all the hotels they are so big you can get lost in them, go see some shows, visit the Grand Canyon thats amazing. You wont be bored even though ya girlfriend is under 21!
