iPod (or similar), books, sudoku, crossword puzzles. A good book from your local library ...and that would be free, too.
Be sure to keep lotions, gels, etc. in 3-ounce containers or smaller if you are keeping them in your carry-on bag. They will need to be in a clear, plastic bag for inspection before you board. It's also a good Idea to keep your shampoo, etc. in a zip-loc bag so it won't spill out in your luggage. You will also need to remove your shoes so wear nice socks.
You will not be allowed to carry water or anything to drink past security, so you should just wait until you've gone through security before you get a drink to carry on board. The flight will offer you free drinks, and sometimes a tiny bag of pretzels. Take your own dried fruit, nuts, crackers, etc.
Best of everything! |

Depends on what airlines and which class you are traveling in. For example, if you were coming from Europe on Air France or British Airways, they have your own little monitor in the headrest in front of you with on demand movies, tv shows, and even games! That kept me occupied for nearly 7 hours!
Other than that, I would use that time to catch up on some reading, plan out what sightseeing spots to hit, or start a little travel journal or something. Keep in mind, if you bring any sort of electronics, you will have to put them away during take off and landing. |

Take a novel or an activity book. They also have in-flight movies depending on how long the flight is. If it's not long enough for a movie, they still hand out headphones and there are several in-flight radio stations you can listen to (not regular stations like on the ground though.)
You could also pick up a few magazines on the way... all airports have magazine stores. |

I bet it'll make you sleepy, rather than bored. Just sleep on the plane, like 70% of the people do, and when you get to your destination, you'll feel rested. |

have a soda. listen to your music. read. sleep. check out the opposite sex
I sleep on the plane.
My favorite pleasure on the plane is no cell phone calls. No distractions. Just relaxation. |

on your plane you'll have a TV infront of you and on that TV you can listen to music, watch TV, or play games.
Unless your flight is under 2 hours, in this case;
bring a coloring book.... sounds lame? I am 32 and still color from time to time. Reduces stress.
write notes to people
count the clouds
bring pop corn and eat seriously slow, one corn at a time, flying each one in your mouth.
make a list of every thing you want to be when you grow up and things you want to have, then list what you need to do in order to acomplish that in your life.
Talk to others on the plane, they also want to take up time, some one might enjoy a good convercation. |

Youll probably be too excited to sleep on the plane..
I always bring magazines like Glamour or whatever.
I also think about my next trip, daydream of where i'd like to go next..
Yes buy water or juice etc AFTER you go through security.
a great snack is trail mix.. get some raisins, peanuts, m&ms and mix 'em and make a big Ziploc bag of it for the plane and late night snacking.
dont forget your camera and stamps for postcards!...maybe a journal too, so you can write down what happens and have it forever.. |

I am 14 too...hmmm... go parishuting out a window! Not a good idea? LOL ...I don't really know, I have never been on a plane. Throw spitballs at people infront of you and when they turn around look at your dad like "what did you just do?".......Throw water balloons out the window hehehe....Bring a snake aboard and "accadently" let it loose.....Dress up like a tarorist with a headband and a bible and stuff......look at the person behind you with huge eyes and say "your one of them!", then just stare at them untill they leave there seat haha.....You could always read a book or play hangman or something... |
