well, i live in az and i've heard some funny ones:
you can say 110 degrees without fainting
you can eat hot chilis to cool your mouth off
you can make instant sun tea
you learn that a seat belt makes a pretty good branding iron
the temp drops below 95, you feel a bit chilly
you discover you can get a sunburn through your car window
you notice the best parking space is determined by shade instead of distance
hot water now comes out of both taps
it' noon in july, kids are on summer vacation and not one person is out on the streets
you actually burn your hand opening the car door
you break a sweat the instant you step outside-at 7:30 am before work
your biggest bicycle wreck fear is, "what if i get knocked out and end up lying on the pavement and cook to death"?
you realize asphalt has a liquid state
and yes! this is all true! |

When I think of Arizona I think of my home and beautiful sunsets. |

I have lived here all my life. Now days I think it's a Booming place kind of like California was in the 60's
In the old days I thought of Arizona as a place where no one ever came unless they was desperate. Like John Dillinger did. Or Billy the Kid- |

i always miss the green space. it's a pretty nice place if you don't mind heat, not much green and all kinds of venomous critters. nice place to visit but not sure i'd want to live there. |

Automatically, I think of two things:
a) HOT weather
b) The Grand Canyon |

"It's a dry heat"
I heard it so, so many times bfore moving here that I actually believed that the heat being dry would make a difference. It doesn't! It's still darn hot, justn ot humid. And some days I would be willing to trade stickyness for it to be a few degrees cooler. |

Beautiful sites! Cool Western cities. Too many people moving here. I have traveled from corner to corner side to side and have found soooo many neat little towns off the beaten path (Bumblebee-Jerome-Bisbee-etc.) Too many homes being built and prices have doubled in the last year good for me bad for those of you that don't already own here. I love it. |
