EPCOT stands for "Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow."
People who vacation there often joke and say it stands for "Every Person Comes Out Tired." Which is true. EPCOT is the largest of the four Walt Disney World parks, so it tends to take at least a whole day to complete, and every person does end up coming out tired- exhausted, in fact.
EPCOT's my favorite of the parks, though! I love the restaurant at World Showcase and going scuba diving in the aquarium at the Living Seas. |

Well Epcot stands for experimental prototype community of tomorrow... and it is at Walt Disney World in Orlando not at Disneyland, which is in California.
Originally Walt Disney wanted to have a real community there were people shopped and lived and befriended one and other. After he died, the idea was turned into a theme park.
Today the closest thing to Walt's community is the town of Celebration. |
