i know what ur thinking and i appear to be the only one who can answer that question properly.
first off it was a dumb idea to put a city there but more importantly if the beaurocrats had listened to the people who knoew what they were talking about. the city would have been properly prepared years ago. even if catastrophe had still come it would have been much less harmfull. the people of new orleans said it over and over again. the levees need to be reinforced or rebuilt completely to withstand more forces of nature. |

WHAT PART DID YOU VISIT IT IS NOT ALL GONE. THE FRENCH QUARTER IS STILL PRESENT, UPPER AND LOWER GARDEN DISTRICT IS STILL PRESENT. THE 7TH WARD IS COMING BACK TO LIFE AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT THE NEW ORLEANS EAST IS REBUILDING THE ONLY PART REALLY STILL IN DISTRESS IS CHALMETTE AND THE LOWER 9TH WARD.
METAIRIE AND THE WESTBANK IS STILL MOVING FORWARD.
