The Picasso at Daley Center, The Thompson Center (where the final scene in the Billy Crystal movie Running Scared was filmed), Sears Tower, John Hancock Building, Millenium Park, Museum of Science and Industry, Art Institute of Chicago, Field Museum of Nat History, Marshall Fields now Macy's on State, hope that helps and the food is great too.

Wind's!!!

It is said to be the Windy City, but the picture that springs to my mind is Gangsters and the Deep Pan Pizza Company!!

(Obviously, when I say Gangsters I am thinking of Al Capone etc., No offence meant!)

Go to Navy Pier, Millenium Park, Muesum of Science & Industry, Shed Aquirium. Visit the Sears Towers, have lunch at the signature room at the John Hancock building. Go shopping on Michigan Avenue, and it the water tower. Eat some pizza, and hotdogs. enjoy.

Don't forget we are also famous for the Valentine's Day Massacre! And don't listen to the people who say it's boring... they have obviously never been there. Chicago is a great city with lots to see and do, and with amazing, warm, welcoming people.

The must-sees I would recommend are the John Hancock building on Michigan Avenue- it is better than the Sears Tower. You can take a trip up to the 99th floor and see all of Chicago from there. There is also a lounge on the 97th floor that is very cool called the Signature Room. It is lovely, and you can have a few drinks and view the city from there. (A hint- when they ask you if you have reservations for the restaurant, just say yes and go up to the bar area. No one will stop you. Otherwise you have to wait for hours!) Also, in the basement of the Hancock building is a restaurant called The Cheesecake Factory and if you like cheesecake, be sure to grab a slice. Across the street is Garrett's Popcorn, which is a must for every tourist.

There are 4 great attractions next to each other on Lake Michigan also- Shedd Aquarium is the best, but the Field Museum, the Planetarium, and the Art Museum are also excellent. (all are free admission on Tuesdays if you are there on a Tuesday) If you go in summer, Brookfield Zoo is absolutely a must see, too.

You have to grab some Gino's pizza while you are there. Yum! And be sure to go to the orginal House of Blues. You can also catch a taping of the Jerry Springer Show or Oprah if you can nab tickets. Enjoy!

its pizza and if you want pizza i suggest giordanos

John G. Shedd Aquarium, Art Museum, Field Museum, Museum of Science & Industry, Hot Dogs - Chicago Style of course, Pizza, Sears Tower, Navy Pier, John Hancock Bldg, Oprah, Magnificent Mile, Water Tower Place, Planetarium, the El. If it's warm Millinium Park, Grant Park, the lake. Have fun we have a great town with LOTS to see and do!

Beef! This is where the great herds of cattle from the west were .driven to meet the railways and waterways for transport to the industrialising east.
Chicago came to dominate food marketing in USA with huge stockyards, canning plants and an exchange setting prices, futures became a major market including the famous "pork bellies"
As the west developed and places like Kansas City became cattle centres.the expanding railways still carried the cattle to Chicago
From a town where the developed east met the wilderness,Chicago became the capital of what is now the mid-west
See the Stockyards,excursion on the Great Lakes,catch a rodeo and,if not a vegan,share a great Chateaubriand with a friend-any restaurant

Its architecture and food. Walk around downtown (I don't think the architectural boat tours are running now) and take in Chicago's beautiful buildings. Afterwards, go to Giordiano's or Due for Chicago style pizza. If you're in the mood for cheeseburgers and chips, go to Goat Hill Tavern, a place made famous by Belushi in Sat Night Live. Just don't ask for fries! I think there's a location downtown. Don't miss shopping on Michigan Ave, too!

Chicago's a great city- have fun!

In addition to the given answers, Chicago is known for its Elevated, or "el" trains, which helped given the "Loop" its name, from the el tracks that loop around the center of Downtown Chicago.

I had a long weekend in Chicago back in 2002 and it was great! Things i recommend seeing are.....The Sears Tower, The John Hancock Tower, The Wrigley Building and Tribune Tower are really cool too. Wrigley field is excellent too, the oldest Baseball field in the states i think (Home of the Chicago Cubs). Michigan Avenue or the "Magnificent Mile" is great too, kinda Chicago's answer to 5th Ave in NYC. The Water Tower is good too. The Theatre District is well worth a look just for the feel of the place. There are excellent pieces of modern public art all over the place too, and the Museum of art is supposed to be excellent (I didn't get round to seeing it :-( ). I did find the Navy Pier a little bit of a let down, not too much in there. The best part of Chicago is definitely the architechture/skyscrapers, the shopping, and the Art galleries. A ride on the "EL" Loop is a great way to get round the city and kinda get a feel for the place. If you have time too try and check out some of the Frank Lloyd Wright houses etc in the suburbs, as they are really good! I wasn't sure what to expect going to Chicago as it doesn't have many super famous landmarks you can reel off the tip of your tongue like New York or London etc but I would definitley go back there again, the thing i remember most is just the feel, the city has a great vibe, you can feel the pulse of city life, cant kinda think how else to put it! but if you like the whole skyscrapers/big is best/and the blues! American thing then you will love it! Happy travels:)

for me it's a computer game called midtown madness . You get to drive through the windy city on the wrong side of the road that is for UK residents , you can have fun with this game,if you like me, do not actually drive. much as I would like to go to the USA I cannot afford to do so . Like many other people in the world today , just making ends meet is hard enough . So it looks like , midtown madness is as near as I'm going to get to the U.S.A. and the windy city.yours in Jesus Christ. Peter Williams lack .

Pizza and hot dogs.

Don't forget to visit Sears Tower when you are there.

Chicago is well known for Gegieos pizza and the wind thats why its called the big windy, and the Saint Valintines Day massacare the Sears Tower, the John Hancock center,Navy Pier, the loop,OHare airport,Lake Shore Drive, theres so many things ,the Cubs, the White Sox, D Bears, come on you have to go uptown and down town east side to west side, theres to much to put it on paper

`Right now, today, it's famous for its AIRPORT. In the past it was famous for its gangsters....

Will
Deep dish pizza and hot dogs where the meat isnt the main course.

Chicago was also the houz music capitol of the world at one point.

Diversity of every kind of black, asian, latino and white person (there is more then one of each) and all getting along well.

Al Capone, Sears Tower, John Hancock, the Magnificent Mile of shopping while on a horse and carraige, the amazing lake front.

There is so much that make this city great and famous. Come and check it out.....in the summer, too cold in the winter. Even tho cold doesnt bother me to a point I wanna leave. I love it here

Chicago is famous for it's wind, not because of the high/low pressure systems, but because of the talk (wind) of the politicians.
