Well, Hawaii is great for beach lovers. I like the big island because it's feels sort of deserted. If you two are happy just swimming and hiking, that's the place to go. If you need lots of stimulation and a full vacation schedule, Barcelona is full of amazing sights! If you speak spanish, it's all that much better!
It really depends on what you want. If you just want to relax and connect with nature, go to Hawaii. If you want to be in an exciting foreign city, go to Barcelona. |

i say if you're going in the next couple of years, it'll be the perfect age for her to really start to appreciate the history and beauty of spain.
take her somewhere where you do more than just sit on a beach.

Defiantly Hawaii. i went there over Christmas and it was awesome!!! i loved it. heck, when you are at the airport they give you the flower necklaces..have fun where ever you you go! |

it depends on the season you will be going... i used to have family in hawaii... and i had a Blast every time i went. Hawaii never gets old. |

For the sheer historical point of view Barcelona.
Have you considered someplace Costa Rica? It's fairly inexpensive to stay there. There some really nice hotels in good areas.

Spain has a phenomenal history, as well as great weather. Hawaii sounds good too, for relaxation and not doing too much. It really depends on what sort of people you are. If you like history and culture then Barcelona is the one to go for, if you couldn't give two hoots about history and just want to laze on a beach or party a lot then probably Hawaii is the place. |
